Well, I am updating this post from my desk in my living room. I have been home for about 40 minutes... just enought time to clean up, shave and put on some CLEAN CLOTHES!!! We had a great time camping out at Myakka State Park since Thursday.

I must tell each of you that my favorite time of the entire campout was doing the devotions together. Especially this morning! It was a great time, I wish we could sit together and talk about what we got out of the word of God every single day; but this devotional blog is the next best thing! I am so thankful that so many of you are being so faithful.

Remember our second reward trip is in two weekends! We are going to have a great time! ALSO: We will plan a smaller day outing very soon, so stay faithful!!

Today While at the Campsite we looked at the last six verses of Chapter 6:

Here is the passage below:

If you were not out there with us, or if you were and you just want to say it again, then simply post your thoughts and comments.

66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”
68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”
71 He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.

We covered this passage this morning at the campsite and I really enjoyed your thoughts:

I shared two main thoughts about this passage:

1. Peter knew that he had no where else to go. When Christ asked him if he would leave with all the rest of the crowd, Peter said: Lord to whom shall we go?

- We should understand the same thing that Peter knew... Without Christ we have nothing! Only by Jesus Christ do we have life, and salvation. Instead of following everyone else away from God, we must realize that there is no ther source for lice, joy peace and love!

2. Judas was one of the welve... the passage literally says that Jesus Chose Judas. Why would JEsus choose someone who would betray Him? He Chose Judas because Jesus knew that He had a purpose on this earth, and that purpose was to be the sacrifice for the sin of mankind!

God chooses us! Even though He knows that we will betray Him, He still loves us and chooses us! We will never know a more genuine and unconditional love, than the love of Christ!

What are your thoughts?

BE IN SUNDAY SCHOOL TOMORROW~!!

So I guess you guys aren't around probably still having fun at camp. Cool anyway so even the followers of jesus here wanted to test jesus' motives. They said to him if he wants to be known why not go into judea and speak. But jesus wasn't around trying to get all the attention and he knew that since he called the world out on so many sins that the world hated him. I think we can all be very careful when we get called out. If we do something wrong and someone tries to hold us accountable or corrects us our isntinct is to get defensive and hate the person who is telling us. This mentality put jesus on the cross so we need to be careful with that. Miss you all.
Peace

What u just said pastor lee is basically what i had & was gonna put again/what i thought(i take it u musta read my previous post from2day cuz u explained WHY Christ chose Judas)

I think it's pretty cool how Christ chose Judas KNOWING what he would do, just as he KNOWS what WE'RE gonna do & chooses us ANYWAYS=]Judas, even though he was a fake&betrayed Christ, played an IMPORTANT role in Christ's life& Christ used him2get what was needed done(being hung on the cross 2save us)

Christ'll do the same for any of us...he KNOWS what we're gonna do & has a plan set out for the each of us...but let ur actions glorify Christ & not let our lives end the way Judas' did OR sell Christ out/put things b4 him for somethin like 30pieces of silver, video games, relationships, etc...

We've gotta b strong like Peter & Simon & leave 4 NO ONE or ANYTHING cuz CHRIST is the 1 & ONLY way2eternal life, the only 1 who can satify our hunger

This i believe is my calling...i wanna take my PASSION 4 music& glorify Christ w/it...I mean why do it 4my own self when i can write about Christ & spread his TRUTH thru MUSIC!!!Cuz even as i said the truth is in our grasp...the younger generation's life is inspired/directed by music, our lives practically revolve around it...so...ya know???i can't explain it...if they won't open the word, maybe they'll listen 2 it by song...

To whom shall we go? Its great to know that we don't need anyone else in our lives, just Jesus and we can be complete. We are chosen by God to do His will and each one of us a different purpose.
