Make sure that you are in church tomorrow night for several reasons: We will be announcing the reward trip qualifiers, and giving all of the last details about our campout! Come early and just hang out! We are going to have lots of fun!

A Few Thoughts From Yesterday:
Lucy: Good Job Being First!
Jessica B: Good Job waking Lucy up! :)
McCue: I am so thankful that you have been a part of that cool Bible study! Keep up the good work man!
Cary: you are funny man! Peter was the one that walked on the water, and that is in Matthew 14:29. Good try though! :)
Carl: What a great thought, They would have enjoyed that great ride so much more if they trusted what Christ said. We will also enjoy this awesome ride through life if we will just trust what Christ says. GOOD STUFF!
Alex: AWESOME!! I am glad you are doing the glowstring thing... make me a pair too!! We will get good at it this weekend!
Phil: Glad you stopped by to check in on things!
RACHEL: Where are you girl? Get on and call Ryan too! (you're probably talking to him right now arent you!!)

John 6:22-27
22 On the following day, when the people who were standing on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except that one which His disciples had entered, and that Jesus had not entered the boat with His disciples, but His disciples had gone away alone
23 however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks
24 when the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they also got into boats and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
25 And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here?”
26 Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.
27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

This is quite an interesting passage. I had to read it a few times to completely understand iit. I will explain todays devotion verse by verse and then give the application at the end:

22. Remember those people that wanted to make Jesus the king? Well they are back... They were searching for Jesus and they were doing some serious research. They knew that the disciples had gotten into a boat the day before but Jesus was not with them.

23. There were some other boats out there from Tiberius, but Jesus was not in those boats either.

24. So they decided to go over to Caperneum... I guess they figured that if they followed the disciples then they would find Jesus... they were right!

25. They found Jesus. The first thing they wanted to ask Him was: How in the world did you get over here?

26. Jesus tells them, you are not chasing me because of some miracle I did, you are chasing me because I gave you some food. Think about that... these people have seen the son of God doing all kinds of great things, but they dont even care about that... they just want to eat. Sound familiar?

27. Jesus explains that they should not be searching for food that will fill them for a moment... (remember the woman at the well) but they should be searching for the "bread of life". I think it is Amazing how Jesus fits the plan of the gospel with whatever situation He is in.

Application: Think about how passionate these people were in their search for Jesus. They wanted what He had so much that they were literally looking around searching, swimming (or boating) doing whatever they had to to get to Jesus! Are you searching passionately for Christ in your life?

Then second: Jesus explained that these people were fed with a loaf of bread and they wanted more of that... Jesus said: you think that is Good? you should see the bread that satisfies forever! The bread of life! If you have not tasted the bread of life, then you should accept Christ today!

Great Job teenagers! I love this! Stay faithful!

In this passage the people who wanted to make Jesus king were lookin' for em'. And through some crazy CSI stuff they figure out that His deciples left for Capernaum the day that Jesus dissapeared. So they decided to follow them to see if Jesus was with them. When they got there Jesus was there just as they thought. Jesus stops them and says you guys are following me not because of the miricles I have done but because I gave you food. Sounds like these guys had their priorities mixed up a little. We also tend to put things before Christ and we need to fix it.

Pastor Lee if you want to learn glowstringing you can go to youtube and type in glowstringing tutorial and there should be a whole bunch.

I think it's cool how Jesus always witnesses to people in whatever situation He is in. I think that is what we should try to do. Wherever we are we should tell people about Christ or give them a track. If we don't tell people it's like we are being selfish and deciding who is able to go to heaven. If we don't tell them then they will never have the chance to go to heaven, unless someone else tells them.

I also think it's cool how these people were seeking Jesus. For them it was for food, but for us it should be for a better relationship with Christ. We should seek Christ in everything we do.

well,well,well
it sounds like these people that want to make jesus king dont even know the begining of the great things he can and will do when you excetp him as savior.okay so say you get a new computer and you have no clue what it does or how it works and one day you find this program on the computer that your so happy about and you cant wait to go on it everyday. you plan the whole day around this program and thats the only thing you give it credit for, untill you start to look into it a little more and you relize that it deserves alot more credit than you are giving it. just like Jesus deserves A WHOLE LOT MORE CREDIT than most people give him including these people that want to make him king!

see you all tomorow in church!!

I see how this relates to people...they search 4 temp. satisfaction(like the food & zillions of other things)They search & r NEVER satisfied...

As Christ says those things aren't gonna satisfy u like the "bread of life" can...They have NO idea what great things Christ can do cuz they're not givin him enough credit...

We gotta b like Christ & testify whenever & where ever NO MATTER the situation...cuz if we don't spread the word than ppl r gonna b lost & searchin 4 temp. fixes or regular bread...if we share than they can fin the "bread of life" & b eternally satisfied 4...ETERNITY!!!=]

at this rate i'm never going to be first... oh well i'll just buy some air heads

the last verse here is probably the most important but it's all pretty good. this I think is saying that you should not seek Jesus for food for your living body (like worldy belongings) but you should seek him for chicken soup for the soul (like everlasting life)

can't wait till church tomorrow I can't wait till camping either... and I can't wait till after camping so I can apply for a job at Publix wish me luck

Thanks and have great achievement in all your endeavors. Stay in the word!

wow it is 11:18 and already 7 people did them! incredible!!!
Okay so i guess Jesus goes on the other side of the sea and everyone goes looking for him then when they find him they ask "what are you doing here" and he says something like your only came looking for me because i gave you food not because you worry about me...something like that! so he says they should be looking for the bread of life! i don't know this is a confusing passage(no wonder why pastor lee had to read it over again!) see y'all tomorrow night!!!
Peace Homies

& i just told ryan to do them like 5 mins ago and he will probably have his all typed out before i finish, so yeah. :]

Pastor Lee, read my past posts fro sunday and monday; i explained why i wasnt on. i made everything up so i dont miss all the good stuff.

PS; i wont be at church tomorrow, neither will ryan because were going to Busch Gardens, but ill still be on here and ill see a bunch of you thursday :]

welll i dont have much to say about this passage that i havent already said about the woman at the well, so this might take me a long time lol.

hmm well the difference in this passage, to me, is that the people chased Jesus, but not for the reason the woman at the well did; they were seeking Him because he could physically give them something they wanted. The woman at the well was not shooting to get something from Jesus, but to spread the word for Jesus.
We should do the same and not view a relationship with God as a benefit to ourselves, but as an opprotunity to honor Him who gave so much to us.

Ok so these people be fore were looking for Jesus because they wanted to find out more about him so and this reminds me of something that we are looking for something but we dont know what it is and we want to find out more about it so we can know about it and grow in it and thats kinda what was happening they wanted to learn more about Jesus.

this starts out by saying that the people that Jesus fed wanted to see Him again so they figured if they found the disciples they would find Jesus. so when they found Jesus on the other side of the river they were like how did you get over here and He said you are only here because i fed you and you guys want more, you don't want to get closer to Me. so God will always be with us if we need Him but we shouldn't look for Him for things that interest us, we should look to Him for things that we might need to live and wisdom.

REWARD TRIP QUALIFIERS...I hope I am one of them! :/

These "guys" have gone out to look for Jesus again and when they find HIM, they ask HIM something that unbelievers ask as well. They ask Jesus for more food but they tell Jesus that they are not coming to HIM based on the miracles HE has done!
In other words, if you are not a Child of God than you are searching for more than this world has to offer. But it doesn't stop there! Christ wants to give us that so called "food" but after we are in the family of God, we need to continue to seek after HIM and HIS will for our lives.
By being on these devotions everyday I have seen no only myself want to seek after Christ more and more everyday, but Christ wanting to use me for HIS glory. I have learned that my satisfaction cannot come from anything or anyone else but HIM!

Tomorrow is almost her which means YOUTH GROUP....BE THERE!!!!!!

hey pastor lee im making up this one today and also the ones from may that i was missing...

ok so, this passage is kinda funny cause all anyone is concerned with is eating...i wonder if they were all fat back then too? anywho Jesus kinda reprimands them and says you should be following me cause you want to be like me and not because your all a bunch of hungry moochers...Also the whole bread of life thing applys to us because we should seek it in a passionate way and we should want to be like jesus and be close to jesus like the jewish people wanted too.

after reading pastor lees passage I realized that this passage entertwines with the passage with the women at the well when he said that you shouldnt drink from the well that will fill you up for a moment but drink the water that Jesus will give you that is eternal. He explains to the people chasing Jesus that the only reason they are chasing him is to get some food but then he goes on to say that they shouldnt eat food that fills them up for a little they should eat the food of God that is eternal.

The people only wanted free entertainment and free food (just like some of the kids @ youth group) If the people wanted food they should be searching for the spiritual food (Bible). Pastor Lee you should make a book of your endings and sell it. I would so buy it your endings are so good. yeah like the bread that they wanted would'nt satisfy them till eternity but the food Jesus was offering them would last forever.

yes we need Jesus to provide for our everyday needs like food but most importantly we need him to provide us with the food for our soul so we can get closer to him and learn more about him =]

The people searched for Jesus and when they finally found Him, they wanted food. Jesus told them not work hard for food that will rot and mold, but for food that will last forever, which the Son of Man will give you.

We must search God like we've searched nothing else and when we find Him, we need to daily eat of the Bread of Life.
