Hey Everyone! It looks like we will probably be doing the "sleepover" for our reward trip! I am excited about that! But it will definitely not be fun if it is just Me and Michael Stratton ... SO EVERYONE!!! DO YOUR DEVOTIONS!!!!!! :) See you Later!!!

Psalm 22

15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
19 But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
21 Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
28 For the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor among the nations.
29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Well, yesterday we talked about how Christ came and died on the cross to pay for our sins. We talked about how horrible his death was, we talked abou thow lonely Christ was as He hung on the cross... then we went about the rest of our day... Then TODAY, we come back and read more about how tragic Christs death was FOR OUR SAKE!! how did we live between todays devotions and yesterdays devotions? Did reading yesterday cause us to change our behavior? It should! I think that If I really had focused on Christ agony on the cross, I would have probably complained less yesterday, I probably would have been more patient and more long-suffering. That is the purpose of reading these devotions! To allow God to work in our hearts and then to go about our normal day, LIVING DIFFERENTLY!!! LIVING AS A PICTURE OF CHRIST!!!

This is once again a very sobering passage about the future sacrifice of Christ on the cross! We can look back and better understand that today!

Verse 29 is powerful!!! No man can keep his own soul alive!!! Only God can give our souls life... But if we do not accept Him then we will only know death, and death eternal!!

Yeah, We need to think about Christ agoning more and probably not complain about our pains, cause Jesus went through a lot greater pains than we did.

Pray for me, I still have 2 sinful pleasures that are really hard to get rid of.

one verse that I liked was verse 28-for the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor among the nations-meaning He is the ruler over everything and what He says goes.
and also with what you guys were saying we shoudn't complain as much as we do because Jesus went through a lot more then us when He died on the cross, so if anyone should complian it should be Jesus not us.

WOW thats crazy that Jesus would do that for us. I mean i that were me i really don't know if i would do it... well i guess in his case it wasnt really that hard because he knew he was gonna live again..hmmm thats something to defiantly think about! but here we are sitting here crying over the most DUMBEST reasons and Jesus SUFFERED hard for us. so the next time im upset about something im gonna think about what Jesus has to go through!
