Hey guys! Here is the passage for today! Thanks for coming to Sunday School today! It was great!

Proverbs 26:

1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.
2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.
4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.
7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.
8 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.
9 As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouths of fools.
10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.
11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
14 As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.
15 The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.
16 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.
17 He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.
18 As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death,
19 So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport?
20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. 21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.
22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
23 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.
24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;
25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.
26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.
27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.
28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

This is a great chapter... once again! There is some amazing stuff! When I was younger I LOVES THE VERSE THAT TALKS ABOUT A DOG EATING HIS VOMIT... yet so often we are guilty of doing the same thing... going back to some disguisting sin OVER AND OVER...

I want to focus on verses 13-16. These verses are amazing for someone who is LAZY!!! A lazy person turns back and forth and back and forth on his bed just like a door on the hinges!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!

Verse 16: A lazy person will make up excuse after excuse why they should not do their work... EVEN IF SEVEN PEOPLE TELL THEM WHY THEY SHOULD GET UP AND WORK... they will come up with reasons not to work... ARE YOU LIKE THAT?

We should not be LAZY!!! GET TO WORK!!!

so im sorry im not at church tonight :(
My parents are being really STUBBORN!
My mom is 'too busy' to go,
so i was going to go with my stepdad and im waiting up until 3 MINUTES TO 6!!! and i ask him if we are leaving (he was watching tv) and goes "5 minutes"

-.-
UGH.

so ill just do my devotions instead

Wow, thats pretty disgusting that they compare a foolish person returning to a foolish act as a dog going back to eat its own nasty disgorged food (and whatever else it ate, cause you know dogs eat funny things, lol)
It must really be that disgusting of an act!
I know ive done that a lot in the past, but im getting better and am trying to resist old ways.

1 "As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool."

Verse one I thought was good. It never snows in the summer (especially down here), so therefore, so neither does honor occur to a fool. Psalm 14:1 says mostly what a fool is. If you don't want to look it up, here it is: "the fool has said in is heart, 'there is no God'.... I'm sure fools are more than that as well, but that is a big portion.

Thats POWERFUL i mean u sin you ask for forgivness and u let of your shoulders but then you go back to it and "sniff it" and bring back into your body. AND GROSS ARE SIN MUST LOOK HORRIBLE TO GOD BECAUSE IF HES COMPARING IT TO DOG THROW UP!!!!!!!

Sry if i was not myself tonight i had a headache i was kinda out of it.

one verse that caught my attention was verse 1-as snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honor is not seemly for a fool-that is saying that since snow doesn't come in the summer and rain doesn't come during harvest, that honor will not come to a fool because thats just not the way it works...but i bet a lot of people wished it worked that way. another verse that caught my attention was a verse that a lot of people have heard before, verse 11-a dog returneth to his own vomit, so a fool returneth to his own folly-that means that if someone gets caught doing something bad and you punish them for it, no matter what happens they will always go back to what they were doing unless they get saved, then they will probably change.

hey, just wanted to let you know that i did fridays and saturdays devos. and that after this week i will hopefully be back on the devos. regurarly because football ends this thursday.

Okay mainly what stuck out to me is what stuck out to most of you because its not what we would normally read in the Bible but im talking about verse 11. I think it means that as a dog keeps going back to its vomit to eat over an over(eww) a fool will keep being a fool. In other words will remain foolish and making the same mistakes and sins over an over. And I wouldnt say i am completely a lazy person but at times when my parents ask me to do something I dont always do it the first time because im to lazy or want to do what i want to do which i definitely need to work on!!! I should do what im asked to do the first time, obey my parents, and not be LAZY!!!

Pastor Lee do you think alot of ppl will dress up for Wednesday night because I dont want to be the only one dressing up or the only one not dressing up??? im might just come as something else besides a pirate like a B-ball player since thats not hard for me to put together. i dont know but I will definitely be there Wed. night! see yall then!!! bye
