Sorry this is on so late everyone! It has been a busy day! BUT NOT TOO BUSY FOR GODS WORD! STAY FAITHFUL!!!

I will post my comments after church tonight!!

Romans 14

1 Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things.
2 For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables.
3 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.
4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.
6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.
7 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.
8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
9 For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written: “ As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God."
12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.

The Law of Love
14 I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.
16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil;
17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18 For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.
20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense.
21 It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.
22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.
23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.

this says that we shouldn't judge one another. we shouldn't judge one another until we know we are perfect to be able to tell them what to do and how to do it, but we will never be perfect because God is the only perfect being. so we shouldn't judge one another but instead look at ourselves and try to get our selves better before we try to get other people better.

Well there is a lot of good stuff in here. I'm just going to list a few things from this passage that stuck out to me the most. verse 8 and 9 which says if whether we live or die we are the Lords. So no matter what, we are His. There is alot of good truth in this chapter! Also the last verse reminds us not to doubt our faith, it is considered a sin. There is more but this is what I had gotten the most out of. We need to get back on track with our devotions! I hope more ppl come on here by the end of the night! Well im GUESSING Pastor Lee is at the Masseys house having fun and I am GUESSING thats why he hasnt written anything tonight! But thats just my GUESS!!! By the way I like being able to talk to everyone like we did in Sunday School Pastor Lee its fun to see what others have to say about passages and applying it to their lives! I will see you guys wednesday! (we should play flickerball again I really like that game!) bye for now

This passage manly talks about that we belong to the Lord. Every action or no action we do we are- or should be doing it for the Lord. Remember the Wilds camp verse? 1 Chorithians 10:31, "whether therefore you eat or drink or whatsoever you do, do it all for the glory of God." That verse easily applys to this passage. Question: "How do you do something for the glory of God?" The answer is you do something for the glory of God by doing something nice and you do as if it were for Jesus.

This is certainly applicable. It is so much easier to judge others while ignoring your own faults. This is a problem that a lot of teenagers struggle with and a reason that a lot resent their teenage years. I always try to remember that is not my place to judge but it is God.
"Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way."
This is a powerful verse. We should build up our brothers and sisters in Christ and even our enemies. Our path is God's, no matter what we ARE God's and that is emphasized a lot in the bible.
"16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil;
17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."
WOW! We can have peace through the Lord, regardless of how others they act if we accept them.
If God can forgive and love we can as well.

hm good passage. So just because someone views the day differently or sees things differently, just because someone isn't ideally the same as yourself you shouldn't judge them. This is one of those problems many Christians struggle with and don't even realize it. They hear something about another Christian or another person and they'll completely turn their back instead of reaching out with love.

Ill post on todays devo later gotta hit up that education.

Wheres Pastor Lees post??

Well this seems to be talking a lot about judging others and that can click in a number of different ways.
As Christians, we sometimes think highly of ourselves just because our sins are forgiven, but does that mean we do not sin just as the others around us? NO WAY! We commit many of those same sins, and because we feel that our sins are cleansed, we feel place to criticize others.
God is the final judge and we could never take His place as so. He is the only sinless being and therefore the only one to judge those who do sin.
All sin is blatantly sin and God views it all the same.
An even bigger sin on our part is to watch someone be involved in such deadly sin and not try to reach them. Thats something i realllyyy could change in myself and DO IT!
