HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX BEALS!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARVIN SILAIRE!!!!!

I hope you guys have a great day today!

Romans 13

1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.
4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.
5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake.
6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

Love Your Neighbor
8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Put on Christ
11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Wow! This is a great passage about obeying our authority!!

Wow! Have you ever struggled with authority? Well, this passage makes it clear that every person in authority over you has been placed there by God. Whether they are good authority or bad authority they are in charge because God put them there!

Wow! Think about that! Whenever we disobey our authority whether it be at home, at school or at work, or even in our government... we disobey God!!

That is serious stuff!

I especially like verses 3 and 4. Do you ever remember being scared of getting caught when you did something wrong? Well do you ever remember being scarerd of getting caught when you did something right? Of course not!!

This passage makes it clear that when we are obeying the authority we do not need to be scared!!

I dont want to live my entire life in fear of getting caught!! I want to live with no fear, because I obey my authority!!

Gods plan is always better than my plan! I needd to strive to follow it every day!

Here we go again about listening to your authority; seems like God means buisness here because we taked about authority not too long ago. You know that God determines what is right and wrong right? Well, if there is no God like most scientists claim, then who determines what is right & wrong? That is why being an athist is dangerous, not just eternally, but also in this life as well. Even Hitler was an athist and gave all the Nazis Darwin's book. No government is higher than another, however, God Almighty is the Only One who is higher than the govenment.

Teenagers and authority have never seemed to mix. I know that I personally struggled with listening to parents and school teachers and other authority figures during my early teen years. I never really thought about the fact that I was disobeying God, I just thought I wasn't listening to people who were trying to take control of my life. More often than not I found out that the advice they were giving was good and they only wanted what was best for me. Which is VERY similar to God. He knows what is best for me because he created me! I need to be more open to his will because I am struggling here at school. Please pray for me and my room mate. We are both in weak places in our lives, school is beating down on us and the pressures of college and dorm life. She likes to party and go out when she is stressed and I NEED to turn to the Lord. I feel him calling me to talk to her about Jesus..but I don't know how. I am so lost about this situation. I hope God shows me his will soon! I will follow it.

- I hope you all have a great time tomorrow at church. I will miss you all! :[041

so this is saying that we need to obey the command over us and love one another. it is hard sometimes to obey the command over us because we may not like that person or that person could be a jerk to you, but still God said that we need to obey the authority over us. that doesn't mean if they tell you to do someting bad or something that could get you in big trouble that you should do it. we should only listen to them if it won't get us in trouble, it it isn't bad, or if it glorifies God. also we need to love one another. that can also be hard for the same reasons. someone could be a jerk or you could just not like that person, but again God tells us to love one another. we need to love our neighbor all the time and obey the authority over us.

Well I never realized that when i wasnt following my authority I was disobeying God! Im glad I got on here to learn that because now I will be more careful about obeying my authority but make sure Its what God wants me to listen and follow. I know to obey my parents and realized it was a sin but never really thought that about any other kind of authorities. I liked this chapter and will choose to obey my authorities. And also the last verses say we need to love one another! God created everything remember and so we should love his creations which includes the people around us! Even if there are ppl who drive us crazy God loves them and we should too! Well good night everyone and see ya in church tomoro.

Okay, so even the veryy first verse is so important!
Im going to talk about the first part of this passages because its most applicable to me.
For there is no authority except from God and the authorities that exist are appointed by God
Thats something i need to remember; that if i want to obey God and do good for Him, i need to start here on earth and obey my earthly authority.
