Well Aloha Everyone!

Today is Wednesday and another day, another opportunity to bring your friends to church tonight!! It will be a great evening! I am so excited and thrilled about how many teens we had last week, and I look forward to DOUBLING that number tonight!! (That would be right around 82 Teenagers!! LETS DO IT!!! (all that means is everyone should bring one visitor)

Actually I think I am going to plan a Wednesday Night coming up pretty soon where we call it BRING ONE PERSON NIGHT... If you have any ideas then let me know...

A Few Thoughts From Yesterday:
Rachel: I am so thankful that you are joining us from college! I wish all of our college students would get on here and stay on!! :) You are an encouragement!
Mallory: Thanks for the little plug for leetomlin.com, it is nothing AMAZING like you made it sound... it's just a way to let mey family know what is going on in my families life :)
Jessica B: Yes it is such a drastic drop from yesterday... sad sad sad... but I am glad that you were on here!!!

Genesis 41

37 So the advice was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of all his servants.
38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”
39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you.
40 You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.”
41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”
42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand; and he clothed him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.
43 And he had him ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried out before him, “Bow the knee!” So he set him over all the land of Egypt.
44 Pharaoh also said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, and without your consent no man may lift his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.”
45 And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-Paaneah. And he gave him as a wife Asenath, the daughter of Poti-Pherah priest of On. So Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.
46 Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.
47 Now in the seven plentiful years the ground brought forth abundantly.
48 So he gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities; he laid up in every city the food of the fields which surrounded them.
49 Joseph gathered very much grain, as the sand of the sea, until he stopped counting, for it was immeasurable.
50 And to Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Poti-Pherah priest of On, bore to him.
51 Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: “For God has made me forget all my toil and all my father’s house.”
52 And the name of the second he called Ephraim: “For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.”
53 Then the seven years of plenty which were in the land of Egypt ended,
54 and the seven years of famine began to come, as Joseph had said. The famine was in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.
55 So when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread. Then Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph; whatever he says to you, do.”
56 The famine was over all the face of the earth, and Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold to the Egyptians. And the famine became severe in the land of Egypt.
57 So all countries came to Joseph in Egypt to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all lands.

The Prisoners Dreams have come true and in one day he went from Prisoner to Ruler. As we sit in the prison-like situations of our life, one has to wonder how long until God rewards our faithfulness as He rewarded His servant Joseph. Joseph lived for many years in this horrible situation of slavery, deception, a prison. The day before this one, was just another day of the many years that he had sat there in that cell...

How long have you been facing that certain prison? A Week? 8 Weeks? One year?? Well, Joseph was faithful in Trusting his God through and through... And God rewarded him BIG TIME!

I think it is so wonderful that Joseph gave the glory to God as we saw yesterday and then God pours GLORY ALL OVER JOSEPH. I just a short time, Joseph becomes someone who rides in chariots, marries the priests daughter, wears and ring and a gold chain, and has people bowing down at his feet everywhere he goes.

Do you think all that time of TRUSTING GOD UNCONDITIONALLY PAID OFF?? I do!

We too should trust God! Whether your prison is your home, your school, maybe where you work. Whatever your situation is: it would be hard to believe that it could be be more difficult than Josephs! Yes Joseph remained faithful and God blessed him for it!

God wants to bless you for remaining faithful as well... But that is just it! YOU MUST REMAIN FAITHFUL!!!

That story is uplifting. Joesph did not take his earnings and turn away from God, rather, he realized that his success was FROM God and praised him more and more for his great offerings of love. Joesph was faithful even when it seemed that God was punishing him greatly. We can learn so much from men and women in the bible. When times are the hardest that is when we must cling to God the hardest.

College is full of temptations away from God, this is a scary place and I just pray that I stay steadfast to my faith as I face these times. That I learn from God what Joseph did in order to remain strong.

I hope everyone has a great day. :] Hopefully I can see everyone on Sunday!!

This passaage talks about Pharoah treating Joseph with respect and making him the king. Thats so cool that Joseph through all of the troubles he went through without complaining to God and then God let him become the king of egypt!!! WOW!!

See what happens when in all toils and trouble you only look to god. This so reminds me of that one casting crowns song "praise you in this storm" for if joeseph didn't do that he would be dead or still in jail. so yesterday he interpreted pharoh's dream and today he is made the head honcho only second to the pharoh himslef. WOW! thats like being a janitor in a microsoft building then you meet Bill Gates and he makes you his right hand man. Joeseph is truly a blessed man for his victory over the trials in his life. So all in all what you could get from this is i guess stay faithfull ot god in all strugles, be respectfull to your superiors for if joeseph didn't he would have surely died, and always wash your hands after using the bathroom. That last one had nothing to do with the passage, but it just bugs me how people don't wash their hands after being in such a disgusting place.

I know we have all heared Pastor Lee say a million times, "God rewards the faithful." Well, he says it a million times because it's true. We all see it demonstrated in this chapter, Joseph trusts God completly in prison for 2 agonizing years of waiting, and, Joseph doesn't have the Holy Spirit or the Bible to help him out. He was on his own!! We will get rewarded not only down here on earth (like the disney trip) but also in heaven. When the Judgement seat of Christ happens after the Rapture, we will get rewarded: crowns for what we have done for Christ on earth. To me, the crowns and all that good stuff doesn't matter to me, what matters to me is the feeling you get when the Almighty God reconizes you as a faithful servant to Him. After all, the crowns we cast at His feet anyway because He TRULY deserves ALL OF IT!!!!!

again, i cantreally get on at home cuz me & my dad r usually at each other's throats...(im at my aunts)

so basically what i get from this passage is that we're all prisoners of our own lives...HOWEVER! When we choose 2 follow/believe in Christ w/our everything it pays off, especially in this case!

we can easily...well its a rough journey, but we can "easily" go from "prisoners" f our own lives & become "kings/queens" of it w/a lil faith in god

I learned how to do some sweet moves. I learned to Crank Dat Soulja Boy and some of the cotton eye joe dance.

Joseph stayed faithfull to God even in the hardest times he could face. And because he faced so much turmoil without straying away from God once he was rewarded plentifully. We get rewarded for being faithfull as well. For instance in your devotions if you are faithfull not only are there rewarded by pastor Lee but I am sure that you can say you have a better day than when you don't get in God's word.

When i think about how much fame Joseph had i think of celebrities and there life styles i mean that life style tears you apart you cant conetrate on a spirtual life because you have so many more things going on in there life and for Joseph to be faithful in that situation even though they didnt have most of things we have now but still its a hard situation and i think thats something we should strive too do and i know theres alot of things in our life where we can use that.
Had lots of fin tonight he he he he.

God will bless us for being faithful. He is always working in our lives, even the prison times, although we often cannot see what He is doing. It is important to remain faithful because we will always be blessed of God. Sometimes that blessing is something material that we see in our lives or a strength in our character. Sometimes the blessings in our lives are not always what we expect them to be or are bestowed on us during our earthly life like some of the greatest heroes of faith experienced in Hebrews 11.

"These all died in faith, not having received the things promised but having seen them and greeted them from afar... (Hebrews 11:13a)

We must realize that we need to remain faithful to God even if our lives remain a 'prison' until we die and knowing that the abundant life is not having it all but knowing HIM through it all. He will never leave us nor forsake us and that is the greatest blessing of all.

PL, thank you so much for the message tonight! I really needed that! (:

I think that we can all agree that Joseph had a really hard life! He spent years and years in slavery and then got falsely accused and got put into prison. When he finally saw a chance to get out, he depended on one of the other prisoners and then he forgot about him! What in the world?! He truly took those situations and turned them around to glorify God. He trusted God and was faithful to Him all those years. God rewarded Joseph by making him second in command in Egypt. This really teaches me that I should be faithful to God in the hard times, and God will be pleased.

Ok, something is wrong with my account apparently so yeah, this is Kacey. (:

in todays passage we see the faithfulness of joseph and how it was rewarded.I mean if everyone was as faithful as him i cant even begin to emagine how much our youth group would grow(kinda what you have been talking about p.lee).you see that he was sitting in prision and just waiting because he trusted that his lord would deliever him and he did that and then some. like you said pastor lee, he went from prisioner to ruler in such short time.

well i have to go to sleep cause i have to get up at 6:00 for school.

untill next time....

Wow so this is super applicable right now.
im having a realllyy rough time with school, and not necessarily academic; more so people and the atmosphere and today i realy let it get to me.
i sit here and cry about something as alittle as school compared to Josephs situation, when really i should let God work Hiis ways and leave things to be for His will. Not mope about it and let i ruin a good attitude.
