Hey Everyone! I enjoyed hanging out with you guys in Sunday School this morning! I am thankful that so many of you were there! Remember: Bring your friends to church and Be Faithful!!!!!

Genesis 45

1 Then Joseph could not restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried out, “Make everyone go out from me!” So no one stood with him while Joseph made himself known to his brothers.
2 And he wept aloud, and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard it.
3 Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph; does my father still live?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence.
4 And Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.
5 But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.
6 For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.
7 And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
8 So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
9 “Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph: “God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not tarry.
10 You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have.
11 There I will provide for you, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty; for there are still five years of famine.”’
12 “And behold, your eyes and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see that it is my mouth that speaks to you.
13 So you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen; and you shall hurry and bring my father down here.”
14 Then he fell on his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck.
15 Moreover he kissed all his brothers and wept over them, and after that his brothers talked with him.
16 Now the report of it was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, “Joseph’s brothers have come.” So it pleased Pharaoh and his servants well.
17 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and depart; go to the land of Canaan.
18 Bring your father and your households and come to me; I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you will eat the fat of the land.
19 Now you are commanded—do this: Take carts out of the land of Egypt for your little ones and your wives; bring your father and come.
20 Also do not be concerned about your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’”
21 Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them carts, according to the command of Pharaoh, and he gave them provisions for the journey.
22 He gave to all of them, to each man, changes of garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of garments.
23 And he sent to his father these things: ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and food for his father for the journey.
24 So he sent his brothers away, and they departed; and he said to them, “See that you do not become troubled along the way.”
25 Then they went up out of Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to Jacob their father.
26 And they told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt.” And Jacob’s heart stood still, because he did not believe them.
27 But when they told him all the words which Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived.
28 Then Israel said, “It is enough. Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

Wow! God is Awesome! When was the last time that someone wronged you and when you had the opportunity to bring justice, instead of being cruel, you simply said: It is ok, God did that for a reason. I can think of many of you who would have a reason, as far as being humanly concerned, to be very upset and even bitter about some things... but You must understand the verse that I said in church this morning:

I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord...

I also think of the verse that says:

All things work together for Good to them that love God and to them who are called according to His purpose!!

Wow! We must remind ourselves of that through the next trial that we face... ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD.

See you in church tonight!!!!!

Hey I made up Friday and Saturday!!!

Wow this passage is cool cause at Calvary today the preacher spoke on this! how cool.

Yea this passage means a lot to me because if something bad happens I know that God did that for a reason and something good is about to happen in my life. I can always count on God for anything in anytime because I trust Him. He knows what He's doing. Some people think that the trials in their lives are a punishment from God but really they are kinda like a gift that God sends for us because He knows that we can handle it.

When Joseph's brothers realized it was their fault, it really wasn't. Joseph said to them in verse 8, "For it isn't you that brought me here, but God has brought me here." He realizes that God has done good things in his life by sending him through hard times. Also, if Joseph had givin up on God when he was in prison, Pharoah's dreams would not have been interprited and millions of people would have died because no one would have been prepared for the famine. Trust God today! You could save millions of lives!

WAHHHHHHT?
i really hope theres more than 3 people on overall today.
):

So as i was saying like, 3 days ago, this is the happy ending to the story of Joseph.
Its so encouraging to know that no matter what struggles i am given to live through and no matter how difficult things become, God has the plans worked out for the best in the end.
As long as i stay faithful to Him through the storms; there will always be a rainbow at the end.

we all need to be more like joseph like when we can get revenge on someone who has wronged us but insted we just forgive them and act like nothing happened. it's hard sometimes to forgive someone especially if we don't like them but we need to do it anyways to be nice to that person and to be a good example for God. only if everyone was like joseph.

I had fun at jason's hanging out with you guys we should do that more often paster lee.

well in the begining of this passage we see josephs bothers finding out that he is still alive.as soon as joseph gets a chance to talk to his brother he asks if his father is still alive.his brothers are a little shocked that he alive after everything they did(i would be the same way)so shocked that they can barly answer him.well joseph fills them in on whats been hapening and then sends them to go get his dad an tel him that he is alive and that God has made him the lord of egypt.this is a lot to take in for this guy but he follows his sons and he is making it a prority that he is going to see his son before he dies.

what i notice about this passage is joseph doesnt hold a grudge over his brothers he looks past it and is willing to "forgive and Forget" i think that to often it is easy for a person to hold a grudge and that can ruin some of the best relationships in life so in my opinion people shouldwork on th "Forgive and Forget" therey

AND WE SEE THAT HIS BROTHERS GO AND GET HIS FATHER, JACOB.

AND JACOB IS THRILLED TO SEE HIS SON B4 HE DIES!!

AND JOSPEG PROVIDES HIS FAMILY WITH ALL THE NECESSARY APPLIANCES TO LIVE IN THE FAMINE!!

FOR FREE!!!

This passage teaches a lesson about revenge. If somebody is a jerk to you, you almost always want revenge because it makes you feel better at the moment. If you sit and thik about your revenge you'll realize that you're just as bad as the person who was a jerk. If you just calm down and rationaly think about it you are being to biger, better, Godly-er person than they letting it not offend you and moving on.

Finally! This was truly a great story of forgiveness, love and devotion. Joseph was sold into slavery and overcame that through serious commitment to God. He realized that God had a divine purpose for his life. He forgave his brothers for what they did to him, but not only that, he blessed them. He was truly living in God's image. It is such an inspiration to see such mercy shown by one man. We should all be able to be kind to those who have wronged us and have faith in God no matter what.

Yey! I came to church today and I finally got a name.

I had fun tonight at Jasons deli! Hope i FINISHED ALL MY HOMEWORK! I love that we are able to know that all things work together for good and for a reason! Even when we have no idea what could possibly happen next in our life just follow what God wants YOU to do and listen to HIM and no one else! I can think of things right now that made me question why this was happening but now I know why it happened and everything fell into place and it ended up GREAT!(leaving our other church and ending up at Suncoast which has improved my life ALOT!!!) What we need to do is trust and obey God and the plan HE has for our life!!! bye for now!

Everything Happens for a reason and through those times you just need to trust God that everything will be ok and i think Joseph did a hard thing by telling them and forgiving them i dont think i would bre able to that Joseph had a SOFT HEART.

IM BACKKKK!!!

I loveee the story of Joseph cause I believe it has so much things to be learned from it.

The forfiveness that Joeph had toward his brothers was amazing! But instead of being angry with them he told them that is was all in God's plan. God knows better than we do. We think that we have the answers and we think we have chosen the best road to follow, but then that road brings us to failure. But just whe we are giving up, His truth becomes clear. I am so thankful that HE does know better than me.

IDEAS FOR YOUTH GROUP:

I know I haven't been to youth group a some time but I have an idea for you.

Recently in my USF Senate meeting we were discussing how to retain people within the senate, as we had a high rate of loss. Many suggestions were brought up, just as in the youth group, one was food. We discussed many options and with an eleven million dollar budget to allocate, we were certainly not confined by money. Finally, after an hour or more of debate one girl stood up and said this to us:
WHAT are we REALLY here for? Are we here to make a difference at the University of South Florida or are we here because it will look good on our resume? Why should we have to offer incentives to do something we are volunteering to do?
- We later decided that our true purpose wasn't really being followed if we needed to have incentives to come to the long and drawn out meetings.

-The reason you go to youth group should be to fellowship and to have a good time, but more so to be with God and around God's people. You need to inspire your friends with faith to create a need and a want for God in their lives that will make them want to come back to Suncoast Youth, not because you have pizza, BECAUSE YOU HAVE A PASSION AND A LOVE FOR OUR GOD. I know this may be hard and small incentives may help, but for how long?

Anyways guys...that is just my two cents. I attend something similar to youth group here on thursday nights called the Christian Challenge and there isn't any food or anything. Just fellowship with other Christians and the joy of coming together in Christ. The same people come back every week because they feel the passion in the room. :] I pray that you guys can find that.

-I didn't know where to put this idea so I just put it on the Sunday devotional. :] Hope it helps..even just a little.

awesome insight rachel. Although there is nothing wrong with having pizza in the youth group, not having pizza should not keep you from coming. Each one of us have to do some internal soul searching every now and then and question the depth of our faith. Is it as deep as a pizza, or as deep as God wants us to be ? None of us are there yet, but keep searching, keep growing, keep going.
