Hey There You Guys! What Happened Yesterday?? Where was everone? Everyone just decided not to do their devotions the same day or something. Well, you missed a good passage. Try to stay faithful each day. I know it can be hard, and there are always exceptions, but make Gods Word a priority to show God that He is worth it!

A Few Thoughts From Yesterday:
David: Great Job Witnessing man! That is not very easy, but there are always great rewards!! I would love to hang out with you this weekend. Let me know what your plans are and I will try to work it out.
Rob: I enjoyed yesterday very much! I hope that things are changing! Did you find a house yet? :)
Michael: I am SO THANKFUL for your faithfulness!!
Rachel: I will tell Bethany that you are trying to get a hold of her.
Bethany f: Rachel is trying to "get a hold of you" :)
Jonathan: You were really sick? Why didn't you call me? I would have brought you some chicken noodle soup!! :) Ha! Well, I did not think of the 12 days of Christmas yesterday, however, I have been singing Christmas music for the last week!
Mallory: Are you going to the Rays Game today? I wish that I could go!!!!! We have praise team practice :(...
Ryan: Good to see you on here man! Yes, it definitely is weird how the cut up animals!!!

Genesis 16

1 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar.
2 So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.
3 Then Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan.
4 So he went in to Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became despised in her eyes.
5 Then Sarai said to Abram, “My wrong be upon you! I gave my maid into your embrace; and when she saw that she had conceived, I became despised in her eyes. The LORD judge between you and me.”
6 So Abram said to Sarai, “Indeed your maid is in your hand; do to her as you please.” And when Sarai dealt harshly with her, she fled from her presence.
7 Now the Angel of the LORD found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur.
8 And He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.”
9 The Angel of the LORD said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand.”
10 Then the Angel of the LORD said to her, “I will multiply your descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude.”
11 And the Angel of the LORD said to her: “ Behold, you are with child, And you shall bear a son. You shall call his name Ishmael, Because the LORD has heard your affliction.
12 He shall be a wild man; His hand shall be against every man, And every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”
13 Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”
14 Therefore the well was called Beer Lahai Roi; observe, it is between Kadesh and Bered.
15 So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram named his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael.
16 Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.

Wow! This is a story in the Bible that has had a DIRECT IMPACT on your life. In this story we see that Abram and Sarai still did not believe that God would give them a child. Because of this unbelief, They decided to take matters out of Gods hands and take them into their own hands.

So, Sarai decides that she will tell Abram, her husband, that He can go have sex with Sarai's handmaid so that they can have a kid together and "then God's promise will be fulfilled"... NOT!!!

That is not what God promised!!

Here is how Abrams disobedience DIRECTLY AFFECTS US TODAY.... Ishmael was the son the was born unto Abram by Sarai's handmaid Hagar... Ishmael is the father of the Arab people today. We will continue to study this in the next days, but it is clear that Ishmael, is the father of the Arab people today...

Wow! Did you see how that one verse says that "His hand shall be against every man and every man's hand shall be against him... Well that still is going on today. In fact: We see that Isaac and Ishmael and both the beginnings of the Jews and the Arabs, which fight TO THIS DAY!!!!

I bet you didnt realize that Bible was that relevant to the War in Iraq! WOW!

Well, we see that even though Abram makes a mistake and then they make a double mistake by giving Hagaar a hard time: God still loves Hagaar and finds her and tells her to go back to live with Abram and Sarai again!

What a wonderful UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!! I am so thankful for it!

I think the second lesson is this: You never know how much ONE BAD DECISION will effect your life and the lives of people for the next thousand years!! That one poor choice by Abram has caused more wars, and destruction than any other decision He made in his lifetime!

The end of sin, IS DEATH (and DESTRUCTION)

WOWWOWOW,
thats crazy. i would never tell my husband to go make a child with my maidservant! That is a weird woman.

By the way i got a hold of bethany , (: thanks

Ok, so once again, this kind of seems to deal with patience.
Abram and Sarai were promised many children by the Lord, and of course they were good with that, they want children. but sometimes you dont get exactly what you want, and even when you do, not always when you want it.
Also here, we can see how one impatient decision can ruin so much.
God knew what He was doing and had His plans way ahead of them.

Hey Pastor Lee, Maybe it was the Obama speech that had everybody so mezmerized that they could not do their devotions.
This is a great passage to study.
I would stress to all christians, especially young people, WAIT on the Lord. Trust Him. Do not try to rush your life. Embrace all the seasons of your life. It takes time as God is busy arranging circumstances, people and preparing us for what He has for us. Have a great weekend! see ya all on Sun. Carl

What Pastor Lee said about Issac and Ishmael, I never knew that. Because of what happened 3,500 years ago is affecting some battles that are going on right now! If Abram had followed what God had said earlier, the arabs and iraelites wouldn't be fighting in our generation.

Yeah im going to the rays game Pastor Lee sorry you cant come:( I will get back on here later to do my devotions!! Bye for now!!!!!!

I don't think its wrong if God doesnt let you bear children, but u ask someone to have a baby for you, Abram was 86 years old, wow thats old to have a newborn child!

Thats funny that the Jews and the Arabs still fight, That verse is pretty cool that it says that his hand will be against every man and every mans hand will be against him...

If Abram was still alive I bet he would regret A LOT of stuff because of one bad decision!!

Last night I was hanging out with my friends at the venice jetty and we were looking at the stars and we were just talking about how huge the universe was and how we are such a small part of all of God's creation. We may forget to spend time with God, but He never forgets us. We are so insignificant in the universe as a planet and God cares for us and we are even more insignificant as individuals compared to the universe and God cared for us so much that He sent Jesus to die for our sins. I can't even begin to comprehend the love that God shows us and we don't deserve any of it.

Abram took things into his own hands which was wrong and completely disregarded God's promise to give him children. Trusing God is sometimes a hard thing to do, but God knows best and we need to just hand our problems over to Him.

wow it looks like Abram make some serious mistakes here. He seems to be very impatient and always needs more, thats not the way to go.

God had his plan for Abram, but Abram had another whole different plan for himself.

Pastor Lee sorry i was not on yesterday I did'nt get home till like 10:30pm anyway i would tell Sarah to do her devotions on here but since she just moved her internet at home is not hooked up yet.

Hey everyone the Tampa Bay rays won!!! It was a great game! Jon and my friend Victoria and me had some FUN (with the popcorn especially!) LOL Wish you could have gone Pastor Lee! It was CRAZY!!! anyways...

I think its weird that Sarai asked her husband to have a child with Sarai's handmaid and then made her
leave because she did that! They should have just kept their trust in God instead of taking things into their own hands just like Pastor Lee said! They should have just waited patiently for what God had promised them and then be thankful but instead they made some weird decisions and bad choices because they didnt have trust in God...pretty sad! well thats what I got out of this passage and that we just need to ALWAYS trust in GOD! And by the way Pastor Lee im glad that you explain the passage after we read it because sometimes it can get confusing for me! thanks and I will see yall 2moro! bye!

That was a GREAT game the RAYS WON!!!!!! And me Mallory and Jessica had fun!!!!!
Ok so when God told Sarai that her son would be a wild man; His hand shall be against every man, And every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren” thats like well then WHY AM I HAVING THIS KID!!!!!!!!!!!!
When Sarai said You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees i couldnt help thinking that God does see everything and we need to remeber that have you heard the saying "dont do what you wouldnt want to be seen doing" acually thats not a REAL "saying" but it should be and its truee God is watching you ALL THE TIME even if you dont have to answer to the bad stuff you do now your gonnag HAVE too sooner or latter.
cya all tomarrow tomarrow i love you tomarrow your only a day bum bum bum bum bum A bum bum bum bum bum WAY dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dddddddduuuuuuuuuunnnnnn bum!

wow who would do that. i cant think of anyone that would tell there husband to go make a child with another woman let aloone allow it. if abram knew it was wrong he should have refused and said no. it is unbelievable how because of there mistake we are still going through things that they caused so long ago. they should hve just waited till God gave them a child instead of taking matters in there own hands.

Rofl That's really messed up about the wife telling Abram to make a child with another women. That's just twisted. So not only they didn't believe God they buried themselves into an even deeper ditch by doing that. Wow!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to call you P. Lee I went to Mccue's then I had to go pick up a bow flex. Some guy was selling it for 50$ so we bought it. I can see why people get so addicted tot hat thing you can just sit there and pump iron all day until your arms turn to water. ><

this starts out by abram and his wife getting impatient and wander if God would really give them a child because abram's wife wasn't getting pregnant. so abram's wife tells him to make love to her maidservant (which is crazy and dumb) and see if they can have a child. so they do and then abram's wife gets mad for some reason and punishes her maidservant. then her maidservant runs away and an angle comes to her and tells her that she should go back to abram and his wife and that her descendents will be multiplied. so she listens to God (which is what abram should have been doing the whole time) but by abram making the wrong descision his descendents shall create war that goes on for thousands of years. so we shouldn't become impatient with God because what He says He will do. also if we become impatient and turn away from God and do our own things He may punish us. so we should trust in God and believe what He say and that He will fulfill it.

I found these verses neat! It shows alot about that future and what is happening now! Amazing how God knew before what was to come! AMAZING!!! And yes God's unconditional love for us is so precious and worthwhile! And when I say worthwhile I mean to live for HIM with the best of me! That's all for now!

i dont really understand people from the past like why would you want someone else to be aving a baby that should be rightfully yours...blows me awway.and once again abram juuust keeps messing up.if onnly sarai could have waited for her own baby...that was kinda selfish.you can never mess with gods plan he knows all .sarai and abram need to stop kidding themselves...psssh!!!
