Hey Everyone! Great Job Yesterday! It was good to see a few new faces on yesterday that we havent seen on in a while! Alright! Are you guys ready for Valentines day? It is tomorrow!

I Peter 4:

10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Those are some powerful verses at the end of this chapter! Think about that... is says: Judgement should start in the house of God... in other words... Judge yourself! Don't judge other people! Who are we to judge the lost?? We have no right!! We would be LOST if it were not for the grace of God!! Think about it!

Why is it that Christians have the label that they judge everyone! That is exactly what Christ says NOT TO DO!!!! Christ says, stop judging the little splinter in your own eye, while you have a tree trunk in your eye!!!

Christians are not to judge, we are to show the mercy and compassion that we have been shown. It helps nothing for us to judge, it only leads the lost to "their end"

This passage asks two or three times... what is the end of the unbeliever, we know that! The end of the unbeliever is Hell for eternity! We should not push them in that direction by being hypocritical and judgmental... Christ loved the sinner while he was here on earth, and so should we!

Oi! Good points all. Most of the do not judge portion is at the end but Peter also talks a lot about being oracles for God. We have been given a gift, everything we say and do should reflect that gift. So when people see us they think that person is a prat for not being of the world, or that person is wise, and does what is right. As Lee said though Christians have a pretty bad reputation for judging others. I think some of that is conviction that the world feels but instead blames the church for "judging" them when in reality no one has said anything or implied and judgment. On the other hand, there are a ton of believers that feel like It's their place to look down on or talk bad about sin in someones life. I'm sure I've been one of them before. I pray I'll be wise enough to never be that guy again.

The first part of verse 14 is so true! I have had that happen to me many times. What's reproached mean?

it is so hard not to judge people especially on the way they look or act. we should look at our selves and judge ourselves before we judge others. the only reason we should ever judge others is if we are perfect, but we will never be (until we go to heaven) so we should never judger other. it is really hard not to judge others, but we should try our best not to judge others and instead judge ourselves.

i know this is 2 days late. But i need to catch up on my devotions. so my favorite part was the end of this passage. We all see that God doesnt want us to judge others, but instead judge ourselves. I am going to try and do this more because when you think about you might judge others all the time when you should be judging yourself. so next time i judge someone i am going to try an realize it right away and then judge my self on that. Or i could just learn from this passage and know its not the right thing to do and not judge others. bye yall hope your having fun in the woods lol!
