I have no clue why PL hasn't put up the devotions yet, So I will put them up for today.

Proverbs 7

1 My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.
4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
6 For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
8 Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
9 In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
11 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
12 Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
13 So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,
14 I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.
15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.
17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.
19 For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:

20 He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.
21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.
22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
26 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

This passage is showing us men how strong some women are when it comes to influencing the men to have sex with them. It says " For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death." It's deadly to go sleepin' around with women, and her main and most deadly weapon is her influencing mouth. Who knew women can be so dangerous?! Maybe that's why Satan went to Eve first and not Adam.

this passage is encouraging us men not to be seduced (if you will) into immoral relationships with evil women.

it talks about a story of a woman whos husband has gone on a long journey seduces a man into her bed to sleep with her immoraly.

NASTY, NASTY, NASTY.

this whole chapter is telling us not to fall into immoral acts with women. many of us have probably heard that before but it is so true, once you do it it will destroy your life and if you are a christian it will destroy a lot more. if it was hard back then in bible times then it must be a lot worse today, but we need to resist out temptations and not get into that kind of stuff. we need to save ourselves for marriage and not just go out and have sex with anyone we want. so we need to not have immoral acts with anyone and if we don't God will bless us and it will be a lot better for you and your spouce when you get married.

OOh, so verse 18 is the bid soe thumb to me.
First off, its not love to have sex, especially in this way! So when she calls it 'making love' thats totally screwed up!
This nasty woman is luring this man without business to; she should be in her house sleeping or something, definitely not "harloting"' lol, or whatever im trying to say.
And im not sure if im right; but i think this is about her having an affair with her husband when she says 'the goodman is not home'.
Either way, there will always be someone out to tempt you into trouble, so stay in your right place; dont go looking for them!
Stick to your safe place in the darkness so you arent pulled into it.

Man scandalous passage, Solomon tells a tale of an affair he sees going on. A man who meets a woman on the street corner and evidently they know each other because she explains to him that her husband is gone and they can go do whatever they want. Of course the guy falls into that trap. This is an easy passage to analyze because we all realize what the man should have done. Yet when it comes to application it is odd how many men would actually succumb.
God keep my eyes and heart set upon you and I pray that they would not stray.

This is a passage, not only about women, men, the heart, but about life, and the soul.

I really can see how it can happen, but I don't see how people can make choices that lead to it, I just don't understand it.

It would take a ton of wrong steps in the wrong direction, to end up down that path.

I think that it's not only about sex, it's about feelings, and it's not only about feelings, it's about actions, if you know what you should do, you shouldn't let sin shine it's pretty little lies in your face to try to seduce you. I can see that being a better understanding, that could apply to everyone, everyone has problems, and everyone has sin, their sin they are willing to pay the price for with their bag of gold, and their satisfaction, it's what you are willing to gamble for it.

Sadly lol.. this is a very important lesson that everyone has to learn eventually, and it's probably one of the most important lessons you can learn.

Never gamble, just don't do it, especially. ESPECIALLY when you are gambling your soul, something you love, your honor, your way of life.

Your actions ARE who YOU ARE. And you can say whatever you want till the cow comes home, but if you take your golden purse with your hard labor and gamble it all away on something sinful, that will destroy your life, and the lives of those around you. God save you, because only he can.

People fall into that trap, and when they lose something, or everything they learn, it's not a lesson that is fun, I would not wish anyone to learn it. I'm not perfect, and I made mistakes in my past, when I was a kid, just like you guys, My only advice, is to not do it. Don't gamble anything you have, for anything, not even a penny, it's not worth it, because every chance you take, you hurt yourself, and I know many friends that it becomes an addiction a way of life, gamble all you have on everything all the time, they enjoy the rush, they do drugs, they sleep around, they buy lotto tickets, they risk relationships with their family and friends, they make wrong choices, and they don't have their head on straight, because they have fallen into the trap of being too into themselves, and what they think they have to gain by their choices. But when you look at those people. You feel sorry for them, and pray for them, because they are so undoubtably lost.

How many people are undoubtably lost that you don't know? People can hide things very well.

Don't be seduced by anything.. women.. men... lies.. hate.. money.. rewards.. anything!

Don't risk who you are, what you stand for, and the people you love for anything else, because it states all over the place in the bible. DO NOT BE JEALOUS of what others have.. its one of the commandments even! Be thankful for what you have, and don't take from others.

So, that's my two cents. Be wary, and cautious if there is nothing else you know, know that God knows everything.
