Hey Everyone~ Give a shout out to Kasey! She is turning 15 today!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KASEY!!!

Ephesians 2:12-22

12 At that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.
17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.
18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,
21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Wow, This passage is packed full so bear with me. In the Old testeament, God mainly focuses on his "chosen people" which are the children of Israel, (known today as the Jews). God used the Children of Israel to show his provision and protection for a group of people. Ok, there is alot more information about that, but I will move on, or this could get really long. So the pride and prejudices of The Jews vs. The Gentiles were huge. During these new testament times, the Jews thought that they were still "all that" and the Gentiles thought that they were "all that" so they all hated each other. Literally to the point that there was a wall outside of the temple that showed the Gentiles how close they could get before they would get killed. Now we come all the way back to the passage: Hopefully it should make a little more sense for you now!

The Gentiles, (people who were not jewish, like you and me) had no hope!! (vs. 12) But because of the blood of Christ, we now, (who are not jewish) can have the hope of salvation! Christ broke down the middle wall of separation! (The wall that kept us out of the temple) (14) And now we all have access to God (18) We are no longer strangers to God! He died for us and we are his! I am so glad that God was not prejudice to his people alone (the Jews) I am so thankful that he made salvation available to the Gentiles! (YOU AND ME!!!)

So Today was a little Deep! But also it was so powerful! STAY FAITHFUL IN THE WORD! GREAT JOB!

ok well im not sure if i understood this right today but i still got something out of it form understanding it my way lol

i see the wall as the barrier that is up between you and Christ before you accept him as your savior and once you accept Him then that wall is broken down and you are now able to have that special relationship with Him =]

um...happy birhtday kasey im really happy for you and i really wanted to eat sum of that cake but i dint have a chance sorry. I bet it was good though and im sorry i didnt get you a present if you would have told me earlier i would have goten you sumthing.

It is first taking about how you were dead from christ as in seperation for him and now that you have accepted him his is with you in your body as one. By accepting him into your heart you are no longer strangers with him but closer than ever. It also says now that your not strangers you need to work on your relationship with god by praying to him. Pastor lee always gives an illustration that if he married katie and only spent two days of the week communicating with her that there not going to have a very strong relation and thats the same for god you should pray everyday!

Happy Birthday Kasey!

This passage shows God's amazing love. God cared about everyone so much that he wanted both the Jews and Gentiles to go to heaven. He even sent His son to die on the cross and bare all our sins so that everyone go go to heaven with Him. God wants us to all get along and live for Him togeather.

Oh man why'd I have to type amazing love now that song is stuck in my head. (Amazing love how can it be that you my king would die for me...)over and over. o.0

"At that time you were without Christ, being aliens" Meaning we were strangers before we knew Christ and by the blood of Jesus he saved us and made us hole and now we are not strangers anymore we are written in the book of life like we will be for the rest of eternity. Amen lol

This passage has application for teens i.e., Jesus chosen people were Jews. We have our friends, and tend to ignore or put up walls to keep other kids out. The sad thing is we are actually missing out on other perspectives, personalities and perhaps making a life long friend. Don't make the mistake of thinking we are all that! Believe me we are NOT!

Thanks guys (: And Pastor Lee, my name is spelled Kacey, haha. And thanks Alex, now that song is stuck in my head too. :P

Ok, these verses are talking about how God broke down that wall, by the blood of Jesus, because he wanted a relationship with both the Jews and the Gentiles. I'm so glad that Jesus died on the cross... well I'm not glad but I'm thankful? Yeah, well anyways, if he didn't do that then I would not have the opportunity to go to heaven. And I deffinatly wouldn't want to go to hell. Thank you Jesus (:

By the way, please pray for me. I don't want to go into detail, but please do that. Thanks (:

Just another reason to celebrate what Christ did for us. What comes to mind for me in this passage is the fact that God loves the Jews so much and he wants them to be in his favor and do what was right, he wants a close relationship with them but being a child of Christ and being born again makes me want to be even closer to him, to bolster my walk with the Lord. What Christ did eliminates separation between his chosen people and ourselves, being born again.

Ahh too much info can't retain. oh well i really didn't understand all of this, but i at least got 1 thing out of this. Jesus came to earth died on the cross and allowed us gentiles to be with god when we die.

Happy birthday kacey!

This is an awesome passage about how if you eccept jesus as your savior that wall is broken down and by the grace of God we are no longer aliens but a part of the family of God. This passage reminds me of that song "how great is our god"

Happy BIRTHDAY KACEY

This does have a lot of information. We are saved because of the grace of God. I am also glad that I am not a stranger to God. Becasue if I was then my life would be meaningless. There wasnt a lot I want to say about these passages.

Basically what those verses are saying is that man is brought to God through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Bridge between God and man. We are no longer strangers to God but broght close to Him through Jesus and what He did on the cross for us.
