Hey guys how are you today? Emily and Victoria, you are doing an awesome job with being faithful! Check my comment from yesterday to see any additional info.

1 John 5

1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his ommandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and hese three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

Verse 7 is been a verse I have been long looking for! I have always wanted the bible to give a strait answer on the trinity of God! Well you can't get any clearer than that of verse 7! You must be a complete idiot not to believe in the trinity now!

Lets talk about it. The Father, that is God Almighty, Creator of the Heavens and the Earth; The Word, that is Jesus Christ, the Son of the Most High God, Redeemer and Savior of the World; The Holy Ghost, that is God's Spirit, the 3rd member of the God-head, the One that makes us feel guilty whenever we sin, and the one that dwells in us, as well as the only one in the Trinity that we actually do not worship, since worship belongs to the Father and the Son. Well a brief summary of each member of the Trinity. Now lets talk about the God-head as a whole.

He existed without beginning, and all three members are equal in power, all are eternal, one in essence, nature, power, action and will. They never disagree with each other, because God is not bi-polar (which many lost people think if you tell them about the Trinity, since lost people just don't understand, an example in John 3: 3-5).

Well, is that too much Trinity info for ya?! In all of history, the Trinity of God is what gets everyone confused, so witnessing to someone, try just not to mention the Trinity, unless you want someone thinking that God is bi-polar! He is not!

Thanks for the comments Pastor Lee and Michael that you wrote yesterday!! :) I will definately come next Sunday after morning service:)
This passage is cool! Verse 1 is telling us that that we should love and believe that Christ is the son of God and that he came to earth to pay for our sins-that was a sacrafice paid from God's love and Christ's love for US!
and by reading this, it leads to important facts:
Verse 2 "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments." meaning that we know what true love from God is.
Verse 3 "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."
Now I understand this passage as a whole: verse 7 says that there are three that bear in Heaven which is the Father(God), the Word(Jesus Christ), and the Holy Ghost(God's Spirit), and the ones that bear witness in the earth are the Spirit, the Water, and the Blood. Yes, I remember now that a while ago Pastor Lee told us about the Holy Ghost when we sin we will feel guilty until we get that problem taken care of. Wow..this IS a cool passage. I'm going to write some of it in my notes now lol
Thanks Michael for showing me how to do the devos! I'll try to post on the days when no one else has posted:)!
