Hey guys, we are going to take a break with psalms for now and move onto 1st 2nd and 3rd John. They are short and sweet, so we won't spend days on the same chapter that has a million verses in it. But it still has the same bible truths in it!
1 John 1
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Do you actions prove you fellowship with Christ? not what you say to other people (say your Christian), but what you do to them (act like one). Pastor Lee has told us A MILLION TIMES, and I wouldn't doubt if it really was a million; so I shouldn't sound like I'm speaking French up here, you actions prove what you are and feel, not your words.
Also, God is a God of Love and Justice, so God has no darkness in Him, so that might answer my question to whether God CAN sin and just don't want to, or is He actually incapable of sinning? I am precieving the answer to be, based on verse 5, that He is actually incapable of sinning. There is probably more questions to be asked about that, and I don't know the answers, because I have not yet memorized the bible off the back of my hand, but PL and PC may know the answer.
There are more things in this passage to yalk about, so I will save them for you guys.

This reminds me of what we were talking about earlier...the abomonation (I think I spelt that wrong) which is things that God dislikes and one of them would be people who 'act' they are 100% true Christians when they are not. In other words, they go to church and stuff but they aren't following his words faithfully and developing a relationship with God. (Verse 6 addresses this) Relationship is important!! Not just your religion. We also need to remember that The Lord is holy, meaning he is seperate from sin and darkness. That is why, verse 7, when we accept Christ, our sins are forgiven and we are walking in the light path. This overall passage is AmAzInG! It is telling us how to ask for forgivenss and confess our sins, verse 9, and verse 10 is saying if we hear anyone say that they have never sinned, they are a complete liar because everyone has done it. Whether young or old, so we need to follow this passage every step of the way!! It is TRULY a blessing that God sent his only son, Jesus Christ to pay for our sins, and that was an unforgetable sacrifice.
