SUNDAY, August 10th, 2008 Welcome Home from the Wilds!

Welcome Home! Take a few minutes sometime today to post your favorite thinks about camp... Tell us what you enjoyed, what your favorite meal was, what was the best part of the drive there and back, what did you learn, and what did God challenge you about spiritually?

This is an opportunity for you to share a testimony in a much easier fashion! Thanks for going to the wilds! I am already ready to plan next years trip to the wilds!

Love you all, Pastor Lee

one of my favorite things about camp was the play on Wednesday. very fuuunyy!! my favorite meal was pizzzzza, like always. what I enjoyed the most about the drive back was zzzzzz!!!!
listening to the story of Joseph and how his brothers sold him as a slave and how Joseph later became second in command of Egypt. then he forgave his brothers for selling him as a slave. So I learned that you need to forgive others even if they hurt you. I think I need to start reading my Bible because I need to.

hey you guys befor i start with my testimony i just wanted to ask if n e one would be willing to pick me up for the evening service tonite because id love to go!

but n e ways i think my favorite meal was probly the pizza.my favorite thing about the wilds was probly the consistant connection with god that we got all throughout the day.i know if we prayed more we could heave that same connection @ home its just that is hard to get yourself disciplined enough to stay on top of it but feeling that connection and seeing how amazing it is makes me want to try harder than ever.and one thing that god convicted me of was faithfullness of his word and bitterness, my family and i are very distant and im kiinda bitter twards them about that but i dont show it .its kind of a conscious thing but never the less i have forgiven them in my heart and i plan to call and mkae an effort to talk to them this afternoon after i have finished my oodles of laundry and chores i need to catch up on since i have been @ camp.everything about camp this summer was amazing and i really enjoyed ti and i look forward to going next summer...ill be saving up!=)

This time @ the Wilds was probably the best EVER!!! because of a lot of things I made a bunch of new friends, I learned sooo much about God, I had tons of fun in the games that we played and in the other activies that there was like the lake and the golf course, all of these were very fun. I just want to thank everybody for the support for me to go the Wilds. The week I went before this summer I had fun but i noticed whenever I got back the decisions i made didnt really do anything to me, but whenever I went this time God really worked in me and showed me what i need to work on in my life.

Hey wow its been a whole week since I have been on so I'm going to make up for lost time! The wilds were amazing this year I even think it was better than last time because we could do more flips this time plus Gareth went and it was good to have another [PN] there to represent but we definitely represented!!!! we flip every free time and wow I am so soar. The people there this time were funner because there was a lot of people that could flip. we taught like 6 people how to back flip and I meet this Asian kid mike who was good a breaking and he taught me sum stuff. besides the fun I had the wilds is a good place to grow closer to GOD from the amazing speakers to GOD and I time every day. The counselors help a lot to by answering tough ?'s and helping you make hard decisions. Next year will be my last time but I am going for sure!!!

This was my first year going to Wilds, and I didn't want to leave. haha, i was literally crying when i had to say bye. The counselors were amazing! They were there to talk to you whenever you needed them. && the campers there were so supportive as well. I learned so much at camp... and I was saved 8-8-08 :) My life is so much better with Jesus Christ as my savor. The camp also had the most amazing fooddd! :) i dont think i could have a favorite! haha, but the pizza was really good!!!! && can you believe white team won?! pshht. REDDDD :) hahaha. && i think Kacey and I were the loudest screamers on the giant swing!! haa. wow, so many memories. :)

but honestly.. i loved the rides in the van! haha... everyone was either laughing, sleeping, eating, or getting car sick!!! hahaha. and my entire van knows the dance to " you are my sunshine..." hahah :)

i say we all pack up and do it all again starting tomorrow.

The Wilds has changed my life.

HEY everyone I enjoyed EVERYTHING about the wilds!!! The pizza was the absolute worst i had ever tasted but thats my opinion every other food they had there was AMAZING! The best part of the drive was listening to that "you are my sunshine" card!!!lol and hanging and getting to know new friends! And i found out Kervin will talk to you more if you tell him you want to be friends with him! I made some amazing people! that was one of my favorite parts of the trip because now im friends with almost the whole youth group and I love it! I also made friends from other states too, it was great! I had fun doing the blob and the giant swing! Ok now what did I learn??? I learned a lot! what spoke to me was how we have it so much better than we could imagine and we still complain all the time about things that are not even a big deal. Joseph had life really bad but he still wasn't bitter towards his brothers and his dad. He had trusted in God the entire time and never lost faith in Him! I think that is amazing and the greatest attitude anyone could have. We all need to try our best to act more like Joseph and every time we realize we are being bitter towards others or not trusting Christ than we should remember the story of Joseph to help us! God told me that I need to put my trust in him more, stop complaining about the littlest things, and to NOT be bitter towards others! I LOVED THE WILDS AND THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR MAKING THIS TRIP GREAT AND ONE OF THE BEST EVER!!!!!

Hmm, i liked all the food. Seeing as usual, i like to eat. (:
My favorite part about the van rides was jokig around and then sleeping.
And i learned a lot, mostly about trust and being strong in hard situations.
Joseph was the perfect example of two of the most needed characteristics to me. Learning that it is possible to do things with God that would be impossible otherwise made me want to be closer to Him and serve him more for the ways He protects me. Being more careful about what i expose myself to and who i expose myself to are also things that ive been challenged about and im trying hard to make them a natural habit that i will stick to them.

My favorite part of the entire camp was the lake. it was awesome me and Cary stayed there untill they made us leave at like 5 we were the only ones there and e didnt have to wait for anything it was great. my favorite meal was the chicken tendors day i ate them with ranch it was good. the best part of the way back was all the candy that i ate. During the coarse of the week i felt i learned a lot spiritually. i learned that God could be coming back at any time and we need to be ready, suc as, witnessing more, and doing devotions evry day, also we nedd to give up some of the ungodly things in our life.
the wilds was great cant wait to go again next year!!!!
