Good Day To You All!
I enjoyed last nights service with you guys very much! It is amazing how much attention I have when I talk about a subject like that... I think that I am going to look for some creative way to fit that subject into every message. Thanks for coming, and thanks for listening so well!

A Few Thoughts From Yesterday:
Brooke: You Got It! If the man did not believe in Christ then he would not have obeyed Christ! But he did obey which proved his belief. The same goes for us: Our actions prove whether or not we truely believe in Christ! Great Job!
Lucy: You are hilarious as you *shake brookes hand*! You goof ball!
Josh L: I was not scared of the Summit Plummit at all until I realized that it is more than 25% higher than the giant swing at the wilds! That is pretty scary! But I think I will try it! Dont let me forget to bring sunglasses!
Gaby: Thanks for holding Will for me! It was funny that he wouldnt take his eyes off you, sorry that He threw up on you! :)
DAVID: Great to see you on here man! Good Job winning the tournament last night! Hey, we werent telling you not to bend you wrist, we were telling the other guy: His write was bending backwards!
Phil: I will miss you as you go sit... bored... at the "shell" factory. Personally, I would rather go to the "real" shell factory: (the ocean/ the beach). But you do whatever floats your little air mattress!

As I was reading this great passage I could find a better place to stop: sorry it is so long, but I think it will keep you attention.

John 9:13-34

To help you understand what is going on: I colored the Pharisees in brown, the healed man green and the healed mans parents purple!

13 They brought him who formerly was blind to the Pharisees.
14 Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes.
15 Then the Pharisees also asked him again how he had received his sight. He said to them, “He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.”
16 Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them.
17 They said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him because He opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”
18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight.
19 And they asked them, saying, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”
20 His parents answered them and said, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;
21 but by what means he now sees we do not know, or who opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will speak for himself.”
22 His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.
23 Therefore his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”
24 So they again called the man who was blind, and said to him, “Give God the glory! We know that this Man is a sinner.”
25 He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.”
26 Then they said to him again, “What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?”
27 He answered them, “I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become His disciples?”
28 Then they reviled him and said, “You are His disciple, but we are Moses’ disciples.
29 We know that God spoke to Moses; as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.”
30 The man answered and said to them, “Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes!
31 Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.
32 Since the world began it has been unheard of that anyone opened the eyes of one who was born blind.
33 If this Man were not from God, He could do nothing.”
34 They answered and said to him, “You were completely born in sins, and are you teaching us?” And they cast him out.

This is a big passage but I really needed to put the whole passage up today to help you understand the application! Let me give you a quick summary of the passage: Remember the blind man from yesterday? Well, he is walking around and the pharisees see him and want to know How he can see??? (remember they have it out to get Jesus)
So the man tells them exactly what happens and then they sit there and ask him 20 more questions about what happened. THEN when the healed man did not tell them what they wanted to hear, they said we dont believe you, go and get your "mommy and daddy" and they will tell us if what you are saying is true. I love whata his parents say when they get there...
They tell the pharisees: He is old enough to speak for himself! So this has nothing to do with us!
Then guess what the pharisees do? They start asking the same questions all over again!

This reminds me of when we want to do something that is wrong, we try to ask many different ways, or we try to justify it, and remind ourselves that "we are doing the right thing"

What a joke! These guys were hypocrites and it is obvious!! Especially when you read the last verse! These guys told the healed man WITH ARROGANCE " you are a sinner, you cannot teach us!!!" Then they literally kicked him out of the church!! Which was a huge deal!

May I remind you, this guy did not come to teach them, He was simply answering all of their questions! I mean what were these people thinking!

I will tell you what they were thinking: They wanted their way, not Jesus Christs and they were willing to do whatever they had to, to get their way: And if anyone stood in their way, they would kick them out of the church (the blind man) or they would crucify Him (Jesus Christ).

Wow! I am just glad that Christ did not give up on man, based on the hypocrisy of these guys! (for that matter, I am glad that He doesnt give up on man, because of our hypocrisy) BE REAL!

STAY FAITHFUL!!! (if you have read to this point you are really faithful!! I know this was long today, but it was some GOOD STUFF)

Agrees Lucy, this won’t be the LAST time I c u -lol-
I just wanted u 2 know that if/when y’all start reading this…if it sounds a bit loopy, typed up messing, sorry…messed up typin or things JUST DON’T MAKE SENSE…
It’s cuz just took sum Robittusin 4 my EXTREMLY SOAR THROAT & it tends 2 mess me up A LOT after like an hour(WAY lopy, lose a bit of my motor skills, & the ability 2 even think very striat…straight…sorry)…I’ve been in tears since 1am this morning cuz I woke up every ½ hr & it hurts THAT BAD!=[

On2 the devos…

Ok so now even after a miracal, they STILL don’t believe he’s Christ even w/the once BLIND MAN who can NOW see standing in front of them telling them!

Some don’t believe cuz he didn’t keep 2 the day of sabeth, while others say "How can a man who is a sinner perform such signs?" SOOO SOOO SOOO true!!! I DO SO BELIEVE that NO common man can do such gerat things, only he who’s separate from sin & PERFECT in every way!CHRIST OF COURSE!!! So I agree w/them…

Then the Jews go on2 ask the mans 'rents about their son bein once blind & asked his parents about it & they said

21] but by what means he now sees we do not know, or who opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will speak for himself.”

now i see why they did that (told them he's old enough 2 tell u what wetn on) cuz the Jews r kinda visious & mean & could kick them out...As a parent...ur supposed 2 PROTECT ur kid, but instead 4 their OWN safty send them back 2 their son 2 answer...

& my FAV PART & KINDA WHAT IVE BEEN SAYIN LATELY

29] We know that God spoke to Moses; as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.”

30] The man answered and said to them, “Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes!

33] If this Man were not from God, He could do nothing.”

AFTER ALL THE THINGS CHRIST HAS SAID & DONE THEY SAY THEY STILL DONT KNOW WHERES HE FROM!?!?!

Christ explains himself on a regular basis!& SHOWS cuz talkin doesnt seem 2 b enough...after all that...they STILL don't know!!!

SO then he(the man) goes on 2 explain that ur not hearing or listenin cuz u cant see what's right there infront of u...he was blind himself & still "saw" what there was...was there...sry...

He says they're unwilling 2 understand cuz they're unwilling 2even accept the IDEA that Christ is ALREADY here...they REFUSE!!! even after all the AMAZING things Christ has done...nothin but shear ignorance!!!

which is kinda what we do...we try 2 JUSTIFY OUR WRONG DOINGS...or refuse 2believe they're wrong...like ur passage last night pastor lee..."how far is 2 far?"

34] They answered and said to him, “You were completely born in sins, and are you teaching us?” And they cast him out.

SO they kick this guy out cuz he's a sinner & is "tryin" 2 preach...he was just answerin hte questions they asked...NOT COOL...especially if they're "deciples" of moses...(i think is whatthey said)although what he said WAS great & insperational=]

bein punished 4 tellin the truth...we do that...by not tellin our friends about him...we're scared as his parents were...

k...i think im about done...so later

k...i cant keep my eys open much longer & my face has already fell in2my cereal tryin 2 finish up my devos...so b4 i lose conciousness or get a random burst of energy makin me all loopy...

i wanted 2 say, Will is adorable & Gabby did a good job w/him considerin he spewed on her-lol-When i had him he had the hick-ups & was gettin it on me 2...

PASTOR LEE...i 4got 2 talk2u yesterday...mayb next time, cuz i cant talk w/o wantin 2 cry or else id just call u...

So again we see how the pharisees try to find an argument for why jesus can't be what he says he is. in this case they say he's a sinner he did works on the sabbath so he can't be perfect or from heaven like he says he is. They even ask the formerly blind man what he thinks and he says no one has ever been healed of blindness he must not be of this world. We see skeptics like this all the time. We have to remember to be grounded in the faith and speak what we know is the truth even if it means getting kicked out of the church! Ok guys so we got a 76.4 our last comp so phantom regiment is in the lead right now not that it matters we haven't had a regional yet but anywho. If you'd like to see what I've been doing or checkout scores go to www.dci.org peace peace.

Hrm,

I think the pharisees show their guilt in their actions but ignore it with their arrogance. How can they presume to teach the word of God to people, and assume they can learn no more, for we are all sinners, and if
we were to refuse to listen to sinners, we would listen to noone.

Furthermore, if we try to loophole our way around, to constantly judge others, and complain about them and make them look less than they are, and less than us, then we are committing treason and breaking the commandments, because we are suppose to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

Technically if we put more thought and action into being mean, and trying to find ways to criticize those we do not like, and try to use all of our time at work or school or wherever to cause harm, then teach the word of God, and forgive, then we are committing adultery because then we are putting things above the lord, we would be worshiping the ideal that
we ourselves are better than the word of God, and his teachings, because in our actions we would be proving that the word means nothing to us, as did these pharisees.

Miracles happen to people who pray and believe. Not perfect people, because no one is perfect, if we were to wait around to see what miracles happened to perfect people, then we would not see any miracles.

But when we pray and hold God high above our own wants, and we forgive the situation, and the people in it, and let the holy spirit take grip of our natural soul, then we are truly letting Jesus into our lives, and we open so many doors, and miracles happen!

I think these passages are symbolic to Christians who constantly find ways to 'chastise' people who aren't Christians, and to people who do not believe period, and 'chastise' everyone else.

When we do not agree with someone, and we do not like them, or they do something to wrong us, we do not need to waste all our energy trying to destroy them, or harm them in any way, we are suppose to act with patience and love, as Jesus has, even the man that was healed and touched by Jesus, was being patient! They kick him out and he doesn't fight them, or tell them they are wrong, he just leaves.

Most of us having the 'fight for what we believe' no matter who it hurts, because we feel we are so right, in our beliefs, our actions, and our choices, that we can push other people towards where we want them, but that is not the way.

The way is to show people how to be, so they WANT to be where you are, you cannot force people to be where you are, or where we think we should be, that's just not how it works.

Every passage I see with the Pharisees, I laugh, because in a way, a lot of people in the world act like they do, even Christians, and it's really interesting to see exactly what we should and shouldn't be doing with our lives, and with our Religion.

Furthermore, we cannot be afraid to stand our ground and be patient and tell the truth, even when faced with being cast out, and faced with whatever we fear, because if we are faithful to God, he will always be there for us.

(I mean stand our ground) by,
being patient, and not giving into anger, and giving into wanting to be forceful with what we want done.

Hey Hey Hey don't forget to check out your random fact of the day supplied by yours truly, just go to www.thatsprettydarnrandom.blogspot.com! WOW that is a long name I never realized how long it was when i made it!

Wow the pharisees are so stubborn! They just wont aknowlege Jesus as Lord. Even when Jesus causes a blind man to see they still dont believe Him! They say He's a sinner because he worked on the sabbath day!! That doesn't mean anything. There is only one word for them and that is DOOFIS!

Kacey! said...

It's crazy how after Jesus did all these miracles the Pharisees still don't believe in Him. Instead they are just getting angry about the whole situation. And because of their anger the poor guy got kicked out of the church! All he was doing was answering the questions they asked. I think that the Pharisees know that Jesus is from God, but they don't want people to belive in Him because they want to be known as the Godly men.

Wow if only these people only read their bible at John 9:3 which states "Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.", And these people told the X-blind dude that he was born completey in sin. Also I would rather be a disciple of Jesus than Moses any day. Also also isn't that whole oh don't do a single thing on the sabbath a thing the pharisees made up. I know the bible says to keep the sabbath day holy but these I.Q. challenged pharisees took it way out of proportion. Also also also Jesus did not sin cause he kept to the bibles commandments not the commandments of the pharisees, of which do not matter. Kinda like the pope with his driving commandments. God has already given us his instructions through the bible and we don't need to add anything since the bible is perfect.

these jewish people are so weird. They're so caught up with the fact that jesus healed someone on the sabbath that they miss th whole point he just healed someone, and reall like gods going to let us humans petty rules prevent him from doing a miracle i mean really. Anyways the pharisees still dont believe the guy so they go ask his parents and theyre
like why dont u ask him hes not four, ok they didnt say that but its kinda implied. and then they ask him and yhe guys like dude i already told you jesus did it cause he's the son of god and he oviously really did believe this otherwise he wouldnt have obyed jesus like brooke said. then the poor guy gets kicked out for applying some logic in his conversation to the pharisees.

App: this convicted me a little because sometimes i can be like the pharisees-proud. they were so caught up with doing everything their way cause its the right way and they couldnt handle eing humble and letting someone like the blindman who was a "sinner" teach them. Sometimes we look down on others cause they're different but maybe we do that because we're actually convucted. Either way i need to wotk on listening to others cause advice is worth at least listening to.

REALLY QUICK...THANKS PHIL 4 THE COMMENT ON MY BLOG=]

on2 the MAIN reason i came back...ok i've been sleepin since like noon & i feelin even worse...BUT when i was sleepin, my subconcious i guess was BUZZIN!!!

If the healed blind man was kicked out 4 bein a sinner & tryin 2 "preach"(even tho we know he was just anserwin questions that were asked)Than THINK about it...

WHO IS SUPPOSED 2 PREACH THE TRUTH ABOUT CHRIST THAN!?!?!Jesus was around 4 what...30 sumthin years & he's PERFECT...well...if he was the only 1 who could preach due 2 him bein PERFECT...the word wouldn't be around 2day, cuz NOBODY after him could spread it along!!!

If these Pharasies say that u can't preach cuz ur a sinner, than they're a lil...i'll b nice...lackin in the I.Q & common sense department!!!

Wouldn't ANYBODY who preached then be kicked out, beaten, killed, or punished in anyway???Cuz even the most godly-like men were sinners...even the man after God's own heart(i4got his name)

&2day! how would WE know the word? Pastor lee, Pastor chip, &Pastor dick aren't perfect, so how is it THEM a sinner can preach 2 us???

These Pharasies r just bein IGNORENT, & tryin 2 look like "godly men" by sayin what they did. When infact...they KNOW NOTHING of our lord except that he can do AMAZING miricals...

cuz if they knew te father, they'd KNOW Christ is the messiah, & that NO human made rules are gonna stop him from fufillin his purpose here on earth...ESPECAILLY sum MADE UP ones that are absolutly rediculas & OVER EXAGERATED made-up rules BASED ON 1'S MADE BY GOD!!!

They'd KNOW this man was speaking the truth...they have NO idea who Christ/God REALLY is...they' wouldn't b tryin 2 judge people or find sumthin wrong w/them (like the woman caught in adultry) ...I believe they do these things cuz people still didnt quite know who Chist was or wouldn't spread the word cuza THESE MEN, who they thought were thought of as the "good guys" of town!!!

If they were REALLY men of God, they woulda had enough common sense not 2 kick the man out 4 "preachin" when he was a sinner...

They woulda KNOWN that moses & all them WEREN'T perfect but THEY spread the word of God when they were sinners themselves...

Cuz from WHAT man/woman who was perfect could they've (anybody)heard it from???& what about their preachers???they weren't perfect EITHER!!!

the shear IGNORANCE & common sense of these Pharasies has been DRIVIN ME NUTS the ENTIRE time i was asleep & wouldn't let me sleep in pieve until i got on here again & typed this up!!!That's ALL i thought about...had a dream goin on in the background & all i hear is my BOOMIN consious SCREAMIN what i've just said & that it WOULDN'T STOP until i woke up & told u bout this...

so NOW u know & my head is fine & not SCREAMIN at me -lol-well...i gotta go take sum more of that Robittussin junk*gags at the thought* & go feed & walk my neighbors dogs, feed the cat's & fishies=]

PEACE OUT!!!

OK Pastor Lee, I was thinking ALL day about this summit plummit thing and I was thinking to my self "no way am i gonna do this, and no one will talk me into it!!!" bbbuuuuutttt..... i talked myself into doing it!☺ i'm not positive but I think I wanna give it a try!
AANNNYYWWAAYYY!
so these people are asking all these questions to the )was blind but now can see) guy and he answers them. then they don't believe him and go ask his parents, and they said he's old enough to answer for himself. and then they go back to the blind guy and ask him the EXACT same questions!!!
ok well I guess I'll see you all tomorrow 6:40 sharp.!.
Peace out Homies

I think that those pharisees were really bad because they kicked that guy out of the church and they said there was a division between Jesus and God. Even though they were told that Jesus was a sinner.

Josh L. told my mom so kervin and I will be on. :)

Ok well i just got my internet so i can do them everyday from now one hopefully but I'm really exited about 2moro to go to orlando!

Ok so the pharisees see this blind man that isn't blind anymore and ask him who did this and how he did it. He told them that Jesus rubbed clay in my eyes and with a miracle he healed me. Well the pharisees didn't want to hear that Jesus did this because they didn't believe in him. So the pharisees go to his parents to ask what really happened and they go and say well he is big enough to talk listen to him we don't want to get involved so then they start asking him what really happened and he says Jesus did it! the pharisees didn't want to hear that Jesus did this and they didn't want to get proved wrong so they did whatever they could to get their way wow what meanie heads. When we get proved wrong even when we dont want to hear the truth it isnt right to huss and make a fit about it we need to stay calm

This passage basically tells me that there are many in the world that doubt the miracles that God can perform. It also teaches me that only true faith will get Gods attention because as it said in the passage God does not listen to sinners, but to those who worship him and do his will. I think of this story as analogy the pharisees represent todays society and the blind man represents Christians and the blind mans parents represent false Christians. So it goes like this: todays society only doubts Christians because they can't believe that being faithful and believing in God can bring such unimaginable gifts and when society comes upon a false Christian and ask for something more logical they're given an excuse that leads them right back to a true believer and then the the story starts over again and again until they finally believe in God in this case is when God comes back to Earth.

This definitely goes with what i was thinking on yesterdays devotions about letting God have His ways.
When we forget our own ways and let Gods fill its place, we are letting the best things fall into place even though we have no clue what our plans are.
We need to have trust that Gods way is the right way and its for our better. -which im pretty bad at because i like to know exactly why things happen and when theyre happening alllll the time-
So, with that said, i need to work on it for my sake and for Gods will to be done.

Buffalo Wild Wings Reward Activity!! Thanks for being faithful!
