On to the devotions: (By the way, we will be doing the devotions on the trip today, so don't think that we are skipping out!)
John 9:35-41

41 Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
This is a great passage that explains that when we trust in our selves, we are blinded by our lifestyle!! I think of the wonderful song: Amazing Grace. I once was blind but now I see... If someone fails to acknowledge that they are blind then they will never see who Christ is and what He has done for them.
The Pharisees were blinded by their sin of unbelief. Do you believe God, or are you often times blinded by sin just like the pharisees?

well i think that we are blinded by our sin and sometimes we can't see our sin unless some else points it out and like pastor lee said that amazing grace great example once blind but now i see
I think that if we don't believe in Him we won't be able to see the right from the wrong and will feel lonely for the rest our lives no matter how much company you have. When people start believing in him they will feel much better.
I think the fog of sin that can surround you can be so thick sometimes that you won't realize what terrible mistakes you've made until you hit rock bottom. Depending on ourselves and those around us for every single thing we desire won't do any good because nothing can be accomplished without God. God has prepared a path for our lives and until we put our whole trust in Him we'll just be bombarded with sin and opportunities to do wrong, but when we find Jesus He'll make the path for our lives as clear as a brand new window.

wooooooo We're in mall milenia and I josh am in the apple store doing my devotions. even though it is saturday I am just so excited that if pastor lee did the timer thing to post the devos I could do them right now.
He came so the blind may see, and those who see will become blind.
He came to be justice, so the people who were blind from sin can open their eyes and see the truth of how fruitful their lives can be with Jesus as their savior,
He came to show the people who said they weren't blind, that they are lost, until they know the truth, because he cannot show them the truth if they refuse to see it, therefor he came to show them how blind they truly are.
Jesus is amazing, he shows mercy to the weak, and justice to the hypocrites who try to destroy the word of God, but he doesn't end them, he tries to be patient, he shows encouragement to both, because he truly loves everyone equally, even though when the time comes he will surely lay down judgment to those who will blasphemy the holy spirit and refuse the word of God, and Jesus.
He gives us infinite patience and that is something I find so amazing!!!!
It also goes to show you the strength of the 'tongue' because that is all Jesus uses, to try to explain people the truth, just his words, of course his actions, by living a pure and sinnless life, but he doesn't raise a hand against, he doesn't argue with people, he listens, tells, and then
moves on, being patient with everyone equally, but not getting bogged down by people refusing him,
Like we as people often do, when people refuse us, we get bogged down, and depressed, or violent, or angry, or argumentative. How truly amazing to have that kind of patience!

The first thing is that whenever we talked about this last night i was really tired and i was trying to comprehend it in my mind but it was really hard so I'll try my best and take a shot at this!
Amazing Grace is like the most perfectest song for the blind thing that i once was blind but now i see. that is so great its talking about how an unbeleiver was blind and whenever he gets saved he can see and know who the Lord is. Whenever we were @ Downtown Disney and stopped us and told us how many people that will be passing us that will go to hell when they die. That was like a slap on the back or on the face. To me it felt like I needed to stop everybody from walking passed me so that I could witness to them!So that they would get saved and not go to hell whenever they die!Thats is just so sad and I wish we could have had a chance to witness to some people at least.
okay so i told you id make it up and maybe this might make up a teensy bit of how bad i was with devotions today..?
Well this makes me think of dirty water and how you cant see through it when its saturated with ick (sin), but when its cleansed of the impurities everythings crystal clear.
When you trust in God in your situations, you often are able to see how it may have really hurt you had you gone your own way. So much is revealed with just trust!
I like how we see the same concept in many different ways with these devotions because it makes it so much easier to remember in all the different ways it can be applied.
