If you are going to Guantamala or planning to, go see Pastor Lee at the church tonight at 6:30 I believe. They are talking about details of the trip and maybe other things about it.

OH! And thank you everyone for doing your devotions yesterday! A good amount! Keep it up!

Ecclesiastes 7

16 Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself ?
17 Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?
18 It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.
19 Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city.
20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
21 Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee:
22 For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.
23 All this have I proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but it was far from me.
24 That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out?
25 I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness:
26 And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.
27 Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the account:
28 Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found.
29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.

Whoa, can you believe what verse 19 says?! Increasing knowledge is better than 10 strong men! that's difficult to fathom. Have you ever heard the term, "knowledge is power" well it seems it is absolutly true!! For example, you get lost in a forest, and you don't know your way out. Well if your educated, then you would know that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Just look in the sky to see what direction east and west are. I know thats kinda cheesy, but it gets the point across.

Also verse 20 reminds me of Romans 3:10, "There is none righteous, no, not one." It says basically that no man has ever NOT SINNED BEFORE, well, except Christ of course.

See you tonight, or tomorrow night!

verese 17 and 18 tell us that we will die before our time if we are over wicked or foolish. Every day should be a kind of comparison of the day before adjusting little things and correcting detail trying to make right choices. In verse 18 we are told to fear God and we will come forth of all men. If we are in his word every day then we grow more wise all the time.

I really, really, really, like verse 19. It is telling us that wisdom will always rise above any physical strength-very true. Knowledge is indeed a very powerful thing to have. Like in Kings 1 Chp.4 verses 29-30 says "And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exeeding much, and largeness of heart...And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country and all the wisdom of Egypt." Not only was Solomon growing with sagacity, but he was growing closer to God! When we are in God's word, I think that is the wisest thing anyone can do*

I love verse 19, think about how powerful wisdom makes you! It gives you so much power!! People say that knowledge is power, but even more so, wisdom is power... that is what verse 19 says: in fact more than TEN STRONG MEN!!!

That is cool!! I want some WISDOM!!! How do I get it? From THIS BOOK!!! (the Bible)

If you want power, read the Bible!!
