Hey Everyone, sorry for not posting the last few days... I just posted the entire devotion and then it got deleted!!!!! AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! that is frustrating! Well, the reason that I was not posting for the last few days is because I have not been near a computer for several days. Wow! I know that is crazy!! But it was kind of nice! Well, back to the devotions!

By the way: I created an account that anyone can go onto and post on the devotional website, (so that on the rare day that I cannot get on a computer someone else can...)

Hebrews 10

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

for the second time...

verse 22 starts by saying: Let us DRAW NEAR!!!!! we are to draw near to God! James tells us that if we resist the devil and draw near to God then GOD WILL DRAW NEAR TO US!! Isnt that a GREAT PROMISE!!

Verse 25 IS HUGE!!! It says: STOP SKIPPING CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO BE IN CHURCH AND TO BE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD AND TO BE WITH GODS PEOPLE... THEN GO!!!!!!!!!

I dont understand how someone can say that they believe that Christ died for them and claim that they have accepted Him as their personal Lord and savior, but when God simply asks for ONE DAY!!!!!!! they cannot even give a whole day to Him...

Someone else will have to explain that one to me, because I cannot comprehend it... You think God is going to save you? WHEN YOUR ACTIONS SAY THAT YOU DO NOT BELIEVE??

Be careful!

The apssage here also tells us: IT IS A FEARFUL THING TO FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE LIVING GOD!!

In other words, STOP messing around with sin, because you better be scared of the judgment that God is going to pour out in your life!!! You better respect God and stop spitting in His face!

Well, there are alot of very good verses in this passage! How did they speak to you?

Pastor Lee, I have always wondered about this, if someone gets saved, and is serving Him for a while, then no longer serve for selfish reasons. I have family members like that. I have tried convincing them to come back, but one of them doesn't believe in heaven or hell, and the other one I don't want to even talk about. Does that mean they will not get to heaven when they die? I am just so concerened for them ):

like pastor lee says in the beggining of his summary, it says let us draw near, this means that we should strive to draw closer to god. not stray. and we should take advantage of every moment we can.

It's really cool that when we draw near God, he will also draw near us-powerful words right there.I really like these verses: "22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering"

It is telling us to stay faithful with a true heart and to call out to God and Jesus and our sins will be cleansed. And verses 35-36 is telling us what we need.

*Had really fun babysitting Will! Let me know when you need my help, anytime.
