Hey Everyone! I just talked with Katie and PL and they are on their way home from Jacksonville! They said I could post ANY chapter of the bible I want! I called my dad and he said 1 John 1 is a good chapter that has plenty of good info in it!

1 John 1

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Wow! My dad picked out a good passage! It says if we say that we are all godly and all, and later on you see us doing wicked things, we are not godly, but ungodly. And that would make us liars. Duh. It also says we are all cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Whenever Satan (accuser of the bretheren[us]) goes to heaven and says to God, "Oh look at such and such a person is doing. Oh you should deliever your wrath on them. They call themselves 'your servants' and look what they have done." Even though Satan is right on a few things he has said, like when we deserve His wrath, he doesn't realize that the Man he's talking too forgave it. God says to Satan, "Oh let me go check the files." Minutes later, Jesus comes back with big files that say "sin" on it, and the files are soaked with blood. "My children's sins are cleansed by My blood and are forgiven. Now, GET OUT OF MY PRESENCE!!" Then Satan goes back fleeing to earth, like a loser.

Josh, (and anyone else) my laptop was working yesterday, but the internet connection was being stupid and wasn't working. The internet finally works today though because a friend fixed it. Sorry about my bad communication skills. My mom is on the phone with dell right now to get me a new e-mail address, so i'm stuck on the old computer for today.

With in this passage the verse that hits me the most is verse 8. It says "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." which to means that there is no way for us to hide the fact that we are sinners. Thanks to the gift of salvation our sins are forgiven, but even then we still have sin.

Micheal this is such a good chapter but this chapter is kind of short though. Verse six is powerful if we believe in him and walk in darkness we lie. That means we can't do bad stuff and still say you believe in him.Verse seven says if we walk in light and fellowship with him then his blood cleans us.

this is saying that if we say we are perfect and that we haven't sinned then we are liars and the gospel is not in us and we are making God look bad...so don't say your perfect or you haven't sinned because we don't want to make God look bad. it also says that we are forgiven of our sins and that God wont hold a grudge on us. so if you ask God for forgiveness then He will forgive you and forget all about it. so we shouldn't say we are perfect when we really aren't because that is making God look bad and we don't want to do that, and also if we ask God for forgiveness then He will forgive us and never remember it ever again.

I hope you all had a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a good time with family.
