Proverbs 9
1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
2 She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
3 She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
4 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
5 Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
11 For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
12 If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
13 A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
14 For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
15 To call passengers who go right on their ways:
16 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
17 Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
18 But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

Pastor Lee, I didn't come tonight because I was helping my dad move out of his place, and helping Dave with the roof. I have a birthday party saturday, but my mom says she doesn't want any kids over. I personally think that's stupid, BUT she is my authority and I have to respect her for that. So, NOBODY COME OVER MY HOUSE SATURDAY!!
Once again, God's Word is too overwhelming to comprehend in the human mind. It seems to me, God and Solomon mean buisness here about the seducing women, because we've been talking about evil women for a while now, and I'm running out of comments to say about evil women. Uhhh... Oh! here's a good one. Guys, don't lust over something you don't need and girls, don't make it so hard on the guys.
Well maybe im wrong, but to me this doesnt really have to do with evil women today as much as, like, accepting correction and stuff.
Verse 8 is really vibrant when it says that a wise man will love to be rubuked. WOAH! I hate being criticized, and i doubt im the only one.
Maybe because im not as wise as i think..?
And why do i think that is? Because a wise man is striving to become better and gain more wisdom, so they will be open to listening to criticism.
I know we have talked about this before, so ill just go back to what ive learned from last time.
Like said in verse 10; to be wise we must fear and seek the Lord, and the correction we should be so open to accept is most likely going to be from Him and His word as we are instructed to live purpose driven christian lives.
Now NO ONE really likes to be told they are wrong, none the less be told we are foolish if we dont accept it when we are;
i need to listen to correction more often because really, its only for my better.
this again is saying that we shouldn't even get close to something that will tempt us, like women, because we are not strong enough to leave or get away from the temptation by ourselves we need God to help us. we shouldn't even get near that stuff, the closer we are to it the more tempted and the more willing we will be to doing it. so we need to stay away from temptations that we know we will probably fall into if we are tempted enough, like women just like solomon has been saying for like the past 5 chapters.
