Hey Guys! I am very excited about going to Buffalo Wild Wings on Tuesday! Make sure you are faithful because I do not want to be there all by myself!

A Few Thoughts From Yesterday:
Cary: I am glad you are on here man! We need to play some XBOX Live!
Michael: I am glad you memorized it! Is your dad leaving today?
Tyler: Wise words man! I am sorry for calling so late last night! I forgot how late it was!
Jake: Thanks for being faithful!
Rachel: Sorry you are having problems... is it about school? Give me a call if you need anything!
Jordan: That is an awesome picture! I thought it was photoshopped!! Hey use your influence to get your brother on here... I know he tried to get on in the past, but could not figure it out. Thanks!

Proverbs 15

1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.
11 Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?
12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
14 The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.
17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
19 The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.
20 A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
21 Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.
22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
24 The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
25 The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
27 He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
30 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
31 The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

Well, we are almost done with the book of Proverbs and these chapters seem to be getting better and better. There are about 4 verses in this chapter that every Christians should have memorized. I will go over them with you:

Verse 1: A soft answer turneth away wrath! YOU KNOW THIS IS TRUE! Whenever someone is screaming at you and you very genuinely and softly say: "I am sorry"... All of the hot air just deflates out of that person! I have seen this happen many times in my life!

Usually Katie is the amazing example that gives the soft answer and then I have nothing left to fight back with!!! Can you believe it? Well I see this verse lived out all the time... You should try it next time you are fighting with your parents... try the soft answer approach!!

Verse 3: The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

That verse is pretty clear! God is always watching you and me! ALWAYS!! He was watching me last night and he was watching you last night... looking at both the bad things and the good things that we did!! If Jesus were in the room with you, would you commit that same sin? WELL HE IS IN THE ROOM WITH YOU!!!! DONT SIN!

Verse 13: A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance!! If you want people to like you... then be happy! A happy heart makes even your countenance look cheerful!! Remember: Your Attitude is your Choice!!!!!

Verse 22: Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.... Do you want to make wise choices or foolish ones? Well, if you are seeking wise decisions then you need to seek advice from other people!! In the multitude of counselors there is safety!! Don't try to make decisions on your own... instead seek the advice of wiser people!

I know that is a lot, but there is a lot of important stuff in there! I know some stuff that I need to work on today! That is for sure!

Yeah, my Father is leaving today, but I'll see him one more time today at my "No kids birthday party."

3 "The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good."

Did you know God has eyes in the back of His head? It's true! this verse tells us that! He's always watching us with those 2nd pair of eyes. Whenever we are in church, He sees us with His normal, front-of-the-head eyes, and when we're anywhere else, He's curiosly watching us with His back-of-the-head eyes. What is God seeing you do with His back-of-the-head eyes? Good, Godly things, or foolish sin?

The all about attitude thing you mentioned it here reminds me of a song I learned at a revival meeting yearts ago.
called Attitudes sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle.....
Attitudes are right or wrong
Attitudes need changing
Attitudes are what I am
And what needs rearranging.....

one verse that I like and have heard a lot is verse 1-a soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger-meaning that kind words turn away or stop wrath, but mean words provoke or start wrath. if you are in an argument with someone and both of you are yelling at each other then that just provokes more anger, but if both of you get in an argument and someone is yelling at you then you just say somethink kindly and softly to them and they will probably stop yelling at you and the argument will stop. kind words turn away anger, we should always have kind words. another verse that I liked was verse 16-better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith-meaning it is better to have nothing and be with the Lord and have a good relationship with the Lord than to have many things and not be with the Lord or even know the Lord. sometimes if we have a good relationship with God and we are Godly people then the Lord will bless us and we will end up having many things anyways. so we need to say kind words to other people and we need to have a good relationship with God because it is better to be poor and have a good relationship with God than to be be rich and not have a realtionship with God at all.

One verse that I like is verse 7 which says "The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so." To me it says that if I was a wise guy I would says things that would benefit people around us, but if I was a foolish guy I would say things that would bring people around me down. This verse is sort of like a challenge because I as well as everyone else can take a look at our friends or people that we hang out with and tell whether we're foolish or wise.

Hmm, so not that the whole passage wasnt really good, but verse one kind of gives me a puch in the face, lol.
Just yesterday i got wayyy too angry about something to the point where i was gasping to breathe; never should it have gotten that far, and its HARD to just take a huge angry emotion inside and let it come out so soft and patient.
I know im pretty awful at giving 'soft answers', especially when i feel ive been wronged, and really, those are probably the most important times to give a soft answer...
i shouldve thought of that yesterday, lol.

Second thing, about verse 13;
I try really hard to maintain a happy countenance and attitude almost all the time but lately ive been angry a lot and apparently it really shows!
I guess the only wa to fix that is to get rid of the anger...

And verse 28. I doubt this is even what the verse is talking about, but it reminds me kind of how your heart & mouth are connected and how what you fill your heart with will be evident in what you speak. That kind of goes along with how i need to remember to make good choices cause lately i just have a lot of trouble.

See you guys tomorrowwwww

The verse that i feel i personally need to apply to my life is certainly verse one. -->1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.<--. It is so easy to lose your temper and fire back out of impulse. I am guilty of this, but i know a soft answer works. Whether it is with my parents,or friends it can be an amazing tool to keep situations from getting out of control. Another verse i think is extrmely important is verse 3. --> 3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.<-- This can be so easily forgotten. We can simply be caught up in the moment or in the flesh and lose sight of reality.. that God is always watching!

I also find verse 29 relevant to our recent discussions regarding influences. --> 29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.<-- When we distance ourselves from the righteous, we seem to drift toward wicked people and places. At least i find this true in my life. I think its important to relize your not only physically with the wicked but spiritually aswell. This means we are distancing ourselves from God, and whats more important in this world than being close to God? I am really going to try my best to always have this mindset.
