I Chronicles 16: 23-29

Pastor Lee:
This is that song from yesterday still going on. I am not sure whether or not this is the 24th verse or if this is part of the chorus or a bridge, :) Just kidding, It is none of those, it is just a simple outpouring from the heart of David to the people and to the heart of God.
I color coordinated it again for you today. The blue is talking about what a great God we have and the orange is talking about How we need to tell the world about our great God! So, More specific, David tells us to Proclaim, or tell, the whole world about His salvation every single day! We are to declare it. I think of a declaration as a strong, confident, and clear statement about a fact. Well Salvation is a fact, so we need to share it confidently.

The rest of the passage is talking about our Great God, and the most impacting part for me, is where is says, "Give the Lord the Glory Due His Name! When I was growing up, I made a club and everyone who wanted to be a member had to pay me "Dues". It was like a quarter or something, but if they were a part of my club, then their money was due to me. In the same way, God created us, sustains us, and saved us. He is due of EVERYTHING we have!


23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
24 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
25 For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the LORD made the heavens.
27 Honor and majesty are before Him; Strength and gladness are in His place.
28 Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples, Give to the LORD glory and strength.
29 Give to the LORD the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!
