Hello Everyone! Great Job Yesterday! We had a great time at Buffalo Wild Wings last night! I wish everyone could have joined us! Well, tonight is the night! I am very excited about Suncoast Youth Group and everything we have planned tonight! Make sure you attend!

Hebrews 2:

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Satan had the power of death because our God is a God of Justice, but Jesus Came and defeated Satan, so that Satan could not hold us in bondage anymore!! That is great stuff and I was going to spend most of the devotions today talking about that, until I got to the last verse: Verse 18!

What an incredible verse! It explains to us that Christ went to the cross ans suffered for us, and was even tempted for u! WHY? So that He could soccour them that are tempted!! GREAT! ... BUT WHAT IN THE WORLD DOES SUCCOURED MEAN? Well, if you look it up, you will see that succoured literally means to give aid to, or to HELP!!

God knew that we would face difficult circumstances and tough temptations, and that is why God said, I was tempted so that I could help you defeat your temptations! God knows what temptation is like, He has experienced it first hand. He hung on the cross, while He could have called 10,000 angels to come and destroy all of His scoffers, and all of his false accusers.

THAT IS WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE!!! I would have proved to them I was who I said I was, but that would have meant, coming off the cross. Christ gave the perfect example of resisting temptation, and enduring trials, enduring tough times, and He did it all for US!!! Maybe we should follow His example by not giving in to temptation! Maybe we should realize that Christ suffered for us, so if that means we have to suffer a little bit for Him, HE IS WORTH IT!

cool first one...suprised though (it's 9:30 almost)

that is so cool that Jesus would go through all that suffering and temptation just for us. that just shows us very little of how much Jesus loves us. if Jesus would come down from a perfect heaven and come down to an earth full of sin and suffering for us so we could go to heaven, then shouldn't we do more for Jesus. that just blows my mind thinking that Jesus would come down to a disgusting earth from a PERFECT heaven and feel what we feel and die on the cross for us so we could go to heaven...WOW. that is some awsome love. we should try to do more for Jesus after seeing everything He has done for us.

What's so cool about His sacrafice is that it shows that our God is the only real one. All religions in the world always have the people do the gods will, even if it means doing something retarted. But our God, is an awesome God, He reigns... just like that song loves us enough to do something for US. If you were to think a religion were the way to go, then look at yourself, the world is corrupt, and your god is just watching to see what you can do for him, and slaping you on the back of the head, saying, "No, no, no, no, no! you did all wrong you will suffer." and there would be no happy ending, and no real justice, just a depressesed life living for a god you just barks orders and does absolutly nothing for your sake. You need to come to a positive thought that there is Someone watching, and there will soon be a rescue opperation for the righteous, and their jailers will suffer what they have done, and a happy ending, an ending that never ends, but continues to be a happy, positive, festive non ending that will continue to be happy forever and ever and ever...

Right, Christ can help us so much with our sins and temptations if we trust him because he went through temptation on Earth. He understands us better then we understand ourselves. I prayed on this this morning because it hadnt been posted yet but Its starts getting intense. I'd be excited if I heard this in the pulpit. especially verses 11 and 12. Christ sanctifies us and we are being sanctified but he makes us our family. He is not ashamed to call us brethren. We praise him for that. Everyday we can be so happy that we have this kind of relationship with our Savior it continues to amaze me everyday.
