Tomorrow is the last day of the year!! Can you believe it??!?!

I am so excited about tomorrow night! We are going to have so much fun... here is a reminder of the events of the night: 6:00pm Pot Luck Dinner / 7:00pm Praise and Prayer service / 8:00pm PLAY GAMES FOR 2 HOURS / 10:00pm FIREWORKS!!!!!!!!!

I John 4

1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Wow! Another passage on the Love of God! Maybe God is serious about this: God tells us that if we do not know how to love then we do not know Him. He also tells us that He showed us love by sending His only begotten son into the World, so thst we might live through Him!! It finishes the paragraph by telling us: If God loved little old sinful us, then we should love other people!! This is so important!

Also: The beginning of the chapter tells us to watch out for teachers of false doctrine!! How do we know if people are teaching lies or not? Compare what they are teaching to the truth of the Word of God.

Many people have problems concerning God's love. You know what i'm talking about, whenever lost people give you excuses about "why would a loving God send people to hell?" a better question is "would a just God send sinners to hell?" See, God is love, but He is also a God of Justice. He demonstrated His love toward us, by dying on the cross to forgive our faults, and if we reject His ONLY rescue plan, our sins are still alive, and fall under the Judge's judgement.

Wow this is a nice passage and I think a lot of people could take this to heart. A couple verses that stuck out to me are 2 and 3. It is all talking about how we should be on the lookout for what comes toward us, like we shouldn't just go ahead and do things, we should ask ourselves. Would God be happy if i did this, or would this help my relationship with God.
More verses i like are 7 and 8.
It is saying that if we accept God into our lives then theres no way that we could be cruel, bitter and hateful. Cause God is love so when we have him in our hearts we're gonna feel sorry for people, we're gonna try to cheer people up when their sad.

sorry for not doing my devos. yesterday i completely forgot...i woke up this morning and remembered that i didn't do my devos...good thing i remembered today.

this is saying that we must love other for God's love to be in us because God loves us, so we should love others (wow that's a lot of love). it also says that if we don't love others then we are considered AN antichrist...not THE antichrist. i guess God is serious about all this love and loving others. sometimes it is hard to love someone that doesn't like you or hates you, but with God you can do it.

The most important part of this passage to me is that part in verses 9-11 where god explains again how much he loves us and how he proved that by giving us eternal life.

this passage describes in detail about how god feels about loving others. in one verse, it actually says that if you dont LOVE a person then god compares you to an antichristic person.
