Ecclesiastes is finished with, and I didn't know what book to do next, so I just figured PL would have told me to continue up with Psalms, so Psalms it is! And even better comments yesterday, everyone!
Psalm 26
1 Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.
2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
6 I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:
7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
The Psalmist's wish came true! In verse 11 the Psalmist wants God to redeem him, and a few hundred years later, just that happens! God sends Jesus Christ to die for us to take our place. Amazing! Thank God i'm not God because if my creation started to curse my name and sin against me, I would have destroyed them faster than you can say "DIE!" But I'm glad that's not the case, the REAL God loves us more than we can imagine, and spares us, even when we destroy His morals for us. He's an awesome God, that's for sure.

what I got from this was that the author was saying to God that He didn't hang around evil doers and didn't do the evil things they did and he didn't want to be put in the same categorie as them because he worshiped and followed God. we should be like him in the same aspect as not hanging around with evil doers and not doing the evil things they did. also we should worship the Lord like he did.
The person who wrote this was saying that he does not want to be associated with sinners, and he knows God's love is pure and true and he wants to follow what the Lord is saying. He wants to thank the Lord for everything and tell people of His word. "LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth." Here, the author says that he is thankful for his house and honor and what God has given him, as we all should be. In verse 11, "But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me," I think the author is telling the Lord that he will be honest and faithful, and because of that, the Lord should be merciful to him. The last verse really sort of concludes what this person has to say. "My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD." This is pretty powerful; he explains that he has put his foot down, so to speak, and will not move it; he will worship only God forever, and no matter what, he will worship God, no matter what anyone else says or does to him.
