Hebrews 9

16 For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives.
18 Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood.
19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,
20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.”
21 Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry.
22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Greatness of Christ’s Sacrifice
23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;
25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another—
26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

Computer is working again! And right after I called you.

So it says in verse 27 that everyone must die a physical death, but then it is decided whether or not we will have a spirtiual death too. If you are born again, you will only experience a physical death. Ya! Sorta...

The verse that really stands out to me is Verse 22, not only because it is in bright red letters lol, but it definitely has a great meaning. The last part, "and without shedding of blood there is no remission," really sort of hits home. It reminds me of everday life, in which you can't not work hard and learn at the same time. In other words, no pain no gain. Without shedding blood, figuratively, you can't learn anything useful, there is no forgivness. Because Christ died on the cross and shed His blood for us, we are able to be forgiven now. So to say, He has purified us. Kinda weird, but this reminds me of World History O.o we can't learn if we don't make mistakes to learn from..and the very last verse is saying that Christ died for EVERYBODY's sins, even people in the future, which is us. To the people who are waiting for Him to come back, they will receive salvation.

This Passage tells us everything we need to know about Christ's sacrifice to us. He has truly put away the sins by the sacrifice of himself as it says in verse 26. I feel that those are some powerful words to read because he forgave the sins of so many people by doing this, and shows how much faith he has in us! Each and every day we may struggle with sins, but if when put our hearts with Christ, I know everything will be okay. actually, better than okay-Excellent:D He was offered ONCE to bear the sins of MANY(verse27) He shed his blood just for us.
Verses 27 + 28 are my favorite becuase it is saying that Christ will appear again, apart from sin for salvation like we have read in previous verses.
