Hey Everyone! If you have not been faithful over the past week then you need to change your ways!! We went to buffalo Wild Wings (as you can see) and had a wonderful time!

I wish that there were 20 of us there, but the 8 of us that went had a great time!

We will be announcing our next reward activity soon! Stay faithful!

Proverbs 19

1 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.
3 The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.
4 Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.
5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.
6 Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts.
7 All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him.
8 He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.
10 Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes.
11 The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
12 The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.
13 A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.
14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.
15 Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.
17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.
19 A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
22 The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.
23 The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
24 A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.
25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
26 He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach.
27 Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.
28 An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity.
29 Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.

Verse 27 is incredible! STOP LISTENING TO PEOPLE THAT ARE CAUSING YOU TO DISOBEY THE WORDS OF GOD!!! What kind of people in your life are guiding you away from God? Friends? Teachers? well, the Bible says: If at all possible DO NOT listen to people that are teaching you things contrary to the Bible.

Obviously you need to pass a test at school on Evolution, that is something you can't really help... but make sure you know that the info your being tested on is simply not true!! If you have friends that are telling you untrue things about God, then you should avoid a relationship with them!!

Verse 16 was also powerful! He that obeys the commandments of the Lord keeps his own soul! Wow! If you obey God you are protecting your very soul, but if you despise truth, then your life will be full of death!!

That is powerful! Obey Gods word! Read Godsd Word! AND COME TO CHURCH TONIGHT!!!!!! :)

See you tonight!!

This passage talks a lot about our speech and making sure that what we say is truthful. Verse 5 " a false witness shall not be unpunished and he that speaketh lies shall not escape." If we speak things that are untruthful we will not escape it and we will not go unpunished!

This passage also reminds us the importance of wisdom. We must seek God's wisdom..we can be thankful though because God says that if we simply ask for it, He will give it to us and give it to us liberally.

Did you notice that these 2 verses say basically the same thing? God is trying to tell us, "Look, I said it twice, in case you missed it the first time, because I WANT YOU TO UNDERSTAND THIS!" It's just like in Genisis 1 where it says 8 times that the animals will reproduce after it's own kind. Only there it says it EIGHT TIMES! EIGHT TIMES!! He really means buisness there, but lets get back to Proverbs. God want us not to speak blasphemies about Him, or any other obvious truth. Period.

Gotta rush so I'll do the devos later, but I just want everyone to know Mike, Will, and I are the the babies of the night we are the wise men of the night willst the rest are the fools who sought tremendous physical torment in order to be part of a group.

Remember drugs are bad and they don't make friends they kill them.

There are two verses in this passage that i think are actually quite scary. Verse 5 and 9; -->5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.<-- -->9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.<-- Both of these verses are identifying the consequences of being a false witness. In the last devo i said something about how being a Christian is more than just ourselves. It is how we act and how others view us. Tonite in church Pastor Lee brought something very powerful to attention, that the Bible simply states we are to be AMBASSADORS of the Lord. That is what i was talking about. The fact that the way we act is putting a good or bad name to Jesus is something that we cannot allow to slip our minds. It is important we display Jesus through our actions and our words.

An additional two verses that are important and somewhat related are verses 20 and 27 -->20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.<-- -->27 Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.<-- These two verses have to do with what we are listening to, and the descions that can result from those influences. Verse 20 tells us that hearing counsel and receiving instruction will result in oursleves being wise. Of course this counsel has to be of a positive and Godly nature. Verse 27 adresses how we can be listening to the wrong counsel and instruction. It states that we should stop taking the advice and making descions based on the negative influences in our lives. We need to be living by Gods words, not worldly words.

okay im backk!!
So this is another passage, to me, where the first verse is one of he most important.
It says that having integrity and being poor, or possible in relative terms, without many friends seeing as school is nowadays, is more important than being a funny fool with a perverse mouth.
Having sound speech is something that the world definitely lacks.
I can honestly say havent gone a day in my life where there werent curses, hatred, or nasty things coming out of peoples mouths. Everyone has said something foolish in their lifetime, but i need to try my best to guard my mouth (in other words, heart) so that it can always be usded for Gods good.
Also when the things come out of your mouth are hateful things or lies, it makes people not want to listen to you.
Its going to be pretty hard to witness when no one trusts or is open to listen to you, right?
Well ive got to watch myself their.
I just though of a good way to think of it.
That same mouth that you could use to curse, or lie, or hurt people with is the ONLY mouth you will have to also witness, encourage, and spread the truth with!
Once youve tainted your tongue, all of the good you try to use it for will also be tinged; and a lot less believable to the people you try to speak to with it.
WOW! ive never thought of it like that until now.
I need to remember that for sure.
Its truly be careful little mouth what you say.
