Hey Guys! I hope you are having a abeautiful day! A HAPPY DAY! (after last nights message)

:)

Well, if not, maybe todays devotions will help you out!

Romans 5

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Christ in Our Place
6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Death in Adam, Life in Christ
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—
13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.
15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.
17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,
21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Wow! Pastor Lee, you went Crazy with the red ink on this one! I guess this must really be some good stuff!!!!

Why, Yes It Is!!!!

Wow! Did you get what that was saying??

I love how the first 5 verses tell you what you get because of your salvation... it lists peace, access, hope and then it says: AND NOT ONLY THAT... BUT EVEN MORE!!!!

We can also glory in our trials, we will gain perseverance, character, and EVEN MORE HOPE!!!! and hope will not dissapoint because our hope is in God.

Then I love how the rest of the chapter goes into detail explaining why Jesus had to die and what his death on the cross accomplishes...

We know that because of Adams sin, death (separation from God) passed to ALL MEN... But through Christs perfect sacrifice we are all justified... that means God looks at us "just as if" we never sinned at all...

Just accept Him!!!!

Verse 6 tells us that Christ died for the ungodly, which is everyone. However John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world..." With that in mind, you put 2 and 2 together and you see that God loves everyone, even the unrightous. And he died for them! Even when we turned away from Him, He still loves us. It's like you disobey your parents; big time, and they punish you for some time, but that doesn't mean they don't love you! They punished you because they love you! They want you to learn from your mistakes, and that is the same with God. And God wants YOU to prove that you love Him and continue serving Him by sending you through tests & trials like verses 3 and 4 say.

I like this passage cause if your witness to someone and they believe that Jesus only died for the saved people whcich makes no sense according to this passage, It tells us that Jesus died for EVERYONE!! WOW!! Even before we were even born He knew us and He still knows us even better than we know ourselves!! WOW! Thats why we should be respectful towards God and not even think about destroying our bodies with drugs and other bad things like that... Just remember that if your saved you have the Holy Spirit in you which means that whats going in your ears or eyes goes into the Holy Spirit inside of you too, oh and God is watching you too.

Wow this is cool i didnt realize how many verses I had memorized! Because before reading this passage I thought of the verse: But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners,Christ died for us. I didnt remember that it was in Romans though. Anyways I would have to say that was my number 1 verse that stuck out to me in this passage! It means that before we were even born Christ had died for US! Also this talks about how from the very first sin made by Adam it has been passed through us all meaning we all are SINNERS, and because Jesus died on the cross for our sins it is all paid for! It is an open free gift that we should except to get to heaven! well have a good Friday everyone. Bye for now!!!

WOAH sorry about yesterday!, when i got home fro church i totalyyy zonked out when i sat down.
didnt even get to take a shower or put on pajamas.
And i didnt wake up till morning!!!
Sorry ):
i made it up
So this passage reminds me of just why exctly, i should be so happy; im saved!!!
And thats just one great thing. There was nothing i could do to fix my sin, so the ultimate came and gave me even more than just a clean slate, He gave me happiness and accomplishment in what i can do for Him.
I think my biggest thing is handling people in the best ways that i should and using my happiness as a magnet to reel in others for Christ, cause i know everyone can be-friend a happy person. (:

I think its amazing that God died for the ungoldy because we don't deserve it He just wanted to show His love for us. God died for you, me , your friends, your enemies, and even your enemies enemies. I know a handful of people I would even get a headache for. God sacrifice was one of the greatest acts of love period and I think it teaches us that we should forgive and forget.

Well, welcome to college devotional hours.

Jesus just keeps amazing me through His holy word. I know that I sometimes struggle with understand why God puts me through some of the things I struggle with. Yet no matter WHAT I am going through I have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. I really have a LOT more to say about this but I am seriously about to fall asleep.

I know one thing for sure, I am really starting to understand the Lord and all that he does for me. Even though I sin he will not disown me, which is something that I struggled with. As I go through my day I need to repent for my sins and take them to God so that he can help me overcome then rather than continue in my ways. God's will makes sense as I walk through my life. I am sorry if I am rambling, it is so late and I have class at 7:30. :] Pray for sure.
