It is Summer Time!! How Cool is that! (Well for almost everyone)

I think it was so neat how so many of you were able to do your devotions before 3 o'clock yesterday. I went on around 3, and there were already 8 comments! Great Job!

Summer time provides a great opportunity to be faithful in your devotions.
Many of you have lots of extra time, so make your devotions a priority and be faithful! Stay in the word!

A Few Thought From Yesterday:
Lucy and Jessica: Great Job! I am so thankful that you both are in the youth group now! FINALLY!!! Thanks for staying faithful in your devotions! Keep up the Great work!
Jeff: What are you doing today? Call me! (Who's computer are you using for devo's?)
Gaby: WHAT!! You were sick all night Sunday night? What dessert did you get? Do you really think it was the dessert! How terrible! Hope you feel better now! :)
Rachel: Katie told me that the storm yesterday was pretty serious. It was not bad up at the church, but when I got home there was about six inches of water in my whole front yard!! Pretty Crazy!
Jonathan: Thanks for being faithful! Keep it up!

John 4:39-54

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.”
40 So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.
41 And many more believed because of His own word.
42 Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ,[a] the Savior of the world.”

Welcome at Galilee
43 Now after the two days He departed from there and went to Galilee.
44 For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
45 So when He came to Galilee, the Galileans received Him, having seen all the things He did in Jerusalem at the feast; for they also had gone to the feast.

A Nobleman’s Son Healed
46 So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
48 Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
49 The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”
50 Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.
51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”
52 Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.”
53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.
54 This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee.

This is a great story: It begins in verses 39-42 talking about the impact that the woman at the well had on her city. Because of her witness, everyone in the city was seeking after the messiah, Jesus Christ! I think it is neat that it shows Jesus changed his plans because the people asked Him to. Do you remember? Jesus was headed to Gallilee, he simply stopped here to get some water. Well, the people asked Him to stay for two days, and He did. Jesus will answer all of our requests as well, if they are asked with pure motives. What an amazing thing to know that The God of the universe is willing to change His plans for me, if I simply pray and ask Him to!

Next we see in verses 46-54 a neat story about the faith of a nobleman. This man walks up to Jesus to ask Him to heal his son. The man tells Jesus that his son is sick. Jesus then tells him: Go back home, your son is alive!! Think about how cool that moment would be.

The passage makes it clear that Jesus only saved the son, because the father had faith!! Think about what GREAT things God wants to do in your life, but you must have faith and you must talk to him about it! (Prayer)

I know in my personal life, it is very easy to trust in my own actions, my own goals and accomplishments. But I must understand that when I try to live by my own means, I am robbing myself of the blessings God wants to pour out on my jsut for living by faith and in Prayer!

What did you pray about yesterday? ... Ouch. Well, what WILL you pray about today?

Pray with faith believing that Godwill answer your request!

wow alot of information but i think i got it all. so first it talks about how the people of the city stat to believe the woman about jesus Christ.then after staying with them for two days leaves for Galilee.and tgen when he gets there this guy comes up to him and says that his son is dieing and he wants jesus to come and heal him.at this jesus says if you people dont see what i can do then you will never believe! so he tells the man your son his healed you can go home. sure enough when the man retuns his son is healed.okay so if i heard that jesus had healed some kid just by saying he is healed i probably wouldnt belive it.same with alot of other people. this made me relize that i should defintly work on my faith a bit.

This passage challenges me to apply faith to what I just heard from The Lord. Whether it was a sermon or just doing my devotions. I want to find a principle everyday and apply it to my life. I can truly say, when I am actively doing this, I've seen great things from the Lord.
Remember, joy is the product of a life lived right.

yeah i got so sickk!! Im better now though thanks...i think it was the Key Lime Pie...my punishment for spendin so much mulahh (thats money for those of you who have no idea lol)Oh n i made up some devos yesterday in case you didnt see =]

So is it okay if i just talk about the last part of the passage caz thats the part i can elaborate on the most? Anywhoser, the story is basically about a man whos faith in christ is so strong that he beleives that Christ will heal his son just by hearing jesus say that...he doesnt need to see a miracle first hand like everyone else. I think this passage reminds me of christians today. It was easier for people to believe in him when they were alive in his time or being ministerd to by the disciples people who had seen Christ than it is for us now a days. We have to relie soley on our faith that Christ is really God just like the man who asked god to heal his child. Sometimes Satan tries to trick us into thinkin that its all made up or we arent saved but we just need to remember christ is stronger than Satan and to try and remove those thoughts from our heads.

Pastor lee do you want to call you today or is that for yesterday? but I'm not doing anything today I'm so bored id rather be at school but I'm on aunt Debbies computer.

Well after taking to the girl she was so excited that she was taking to Christ she went to the city and told everyone that she talked to Jesus. After telling many of the people in the city most of them believed her and that he was the savior of the world. Christ then went to the city and show them that he was the savior and people of the city were so amazed that they asked him to stay with them and even more believed in him! Jesus then left to spread the word of God in different places. In the city of Galile there was a man with a sick child and asked Jesus to heal him. Jesus said that the only way to make people believe in him was showing them a miracle. Jesus then stated that his son lives and the mans friends told him later that his son got better. Jesus healed a sick child just by saying something wow thats amazing. What a miracle!

This is an AMAZING passage of Scripture. I know a lot of times I tend to not prayer for things, because I get busy or I just try to handle them on my own. This story gives us such a lesson on faith. Think about how hard it was for that man to leave his sick son. I know that if Will were sick the last thing I would want to do is leave his side. This man had enough faith in Jesus Christ to seek him out. Also, after he asked Christ to heal his son, he didn't nag Him and ask Christ if he was sure he was healed. He on faith went home, and sure enough his son was healed the very same time that Jesus said He would. This passage really hit home to me, because Pastor Lee and I have friends who got married a month before we did and they have a 10 month old little girl named Hannah. Hannah was having some health problems, and they took her to the doctor. They ran some tests on her and found out that cancer had spread through her whole body. Right now she is going through chemo, but the outlook doesn't look too good. Unless the Lord intervenes, this little girl probably won't make it. This passage was just so encouraging, because this man was in the same situation. I really truly believe, that if we ask Christ in faith to take care of whatever situation we might be facing, He will. We must take the first step though and ask.

** If you can remember please try pray for baby Hannah and her parents.

Ah ha this is the part of the Bible where Jesus starts to do all his miracles and i LOVE IT!!!!Any ways the men went and saw Jesus because of this girls telling of him and they beleved not because of what the girl said but because there own belief and then this guy comes up to Jesus and says hey dude(lol)my sons dieing and i need someone to save him and Jesus says go your son his healed so when the guy got back his son WAS healed and i cant help thinking about how Jesus the son was dead and then he rose again sorry random thought but it got me thinking but anyways this shows that this guy had faith and its cool to think that this guy rembered to ask Jesus for help because like me i probably would be mad at God i shouldnt be but i might be but that shows how much this guy beleved.

it is pretty cool how the man just has so much faith in jesus! we should all be like like that anyway Jesus doesn't even have to lift a finger or take a step all he has to do is just say "go your way, your son lives"
HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE!!!
OK i gotta go see y'all tomorrow!!
peace homies

:]
ohh! and just cause im excited;;; my last day of school went pretty darnn good, after my exams today i think im gettin the best grades ive gotten in a long time
:]
Okay, focusing.
Well when you really think deeply about it, this passage is more important than we probably think. Our whole Christianity is based on our faith in Christ, so it must be something important!
Your trust and devotion to God is the basis of your faith, and they go hand in hand. You have to have a strong faith in order to serve, and if you serve, its because you have a strong faith.
When you are acting in both of those things, you know youre on the right track, so to apply, i think we can all work on one or the other to fulfill our purposes as we should

DAHHHHHHH!!! I'm so frustrated! I joined the pit to play the xylophone or vibrophone but noooooo I have to play ten thousand odd instruments like hmm... lets see the cymbols, tamborine, bass drum, gong, and the BONGOS!!! well on to the devotions.
After the testimony of the woman everybody in the town wanted to meet Christ. How cool would it be if that happened in North Port or Port Charolette. Then this man walks up to Jesus and asks Him to heal his son. All Jesus says to him is "go home your son is alive" That just shows God's awsome power when we are faithful.

We need to just have faith that God will provide for us.....Faith! That’s what that is! I know in my life sometimes I think that God does not hear my prayers and that they only go as high as the ceilings! But through it all I know that he has given me EVERYTHING I need and that is all I can ask for!

Ohhhhhhhh But, you know what….. I have been praying for a car and I think that this week God just might provide that for me! Thank you God you rock my socks!!!!

Sorry I have been slacking I have just been crammed with these stupid finals!!!

Cya tomorrow!

It's all simply about faith...well...It's not exactly simple...well...it IS but not as simple as when Christ is standing RIGHT INFRONT OF YA...

But This religion is about FAITH & trusting in God that he'll provide all u need...PL said

"Jesus will answer all of our requests as well, if they are asked with pure motives. "

PURE MOTIVES is the key there...Praying 4 the right not selfish things...

u must believe, & it shouldn't take a miracle (like the ppl then needed 2 SEE) We have the bible & we know it's the ONE & ONLY TRUTH...we have faith in it...

i like how Rachael put it...actually i ALWAYS like how she puts things...here's what she said

"Your trust and devotion to God is the basis of your faith, and they go hand in hand. You have to have a strong faith in order to serve, and if you serve, its because you have a strong faith."

HOW TRUE!!!

wow that was a lot of verses compared to what we normally read. well what this is saying is that when the women at the well went into the town telling everyone what happend they all believed and they went to see Him. when they got to the well were Jesus was they all asked Him to stay for a few days so they could talk to Him and ask Him questions. Jesus will always stay if you want Him to all you have to do is ask. then after He left to go back to Galilee, when they got there they had a feast and the next day a man came to Him and asked if He could come to his house because his son was on the verge of death. so Jesus said your son will live and right after He said that the man thanked Him and ran home. when he got home the servants said that his fever is gone and his son was healed. wow how amazing would that be, you go to Jesus and tell Him your son is sick and about to die and Jesus says that he is healed and you go home and he was healed the same time Jesus said he was healed, and he was healed just by Jesus saying that your son is healed, just by a few WORDS and he is healed, wow thats amazing. if i didn't believe before that happened i would definentally believe now.

In your life you think that your great ideas are trustworthy but really there not. God's plans and ideas(see Bible). this is talking about the women @ the well again and how she got saved by Jesus talking to her . She didnt beleive by what she said but what Jesus said and what she heard. there are two stories in this passage. the other one is about this man whos son is sick and the man went to go find Jesus to tell Him to go and heal his son and whenever the man found Jesus he told Him about his son and Jesus said go home your son is healed! so the man ran home and his son was healed. even from far away Jesus is always there for us and we can always trust Him.

Faith is something that we need to have! We should have faith in Jesus. It's amazing how at the very moment that Jesus said 'Your son lives', the kid got better. He will help us with whatever as long as we have faith in Him.

If you want things done right, do them yourself...We need to hand everything over to God, He knows whats best for us and we should have faith that all things work together for good to them that love God. We can't expect God to read our minds and do things when we don't deserve them, we must humble ourselves in prayer and ask God in faith to help us with our problems.
