FRIDAY, June 6th, 2008

Well hello everyone! I am so thankful that you have all decided to join us this OFFICIAL first day of school FOR EVERYONE!!! How exciting is that! I am getting together with a few teens that can play instruments and we are going to record our first professional album today, so please call me if you have talent and can come play with us this morning. We are currently talent scouts looking for some other quality musicians!

Brooke: I dont understand why... 11:00am is SO EARLY! You are silly! btw, that was a smooth move wasnt it!!
Kacey: It is awesome to read your "lectures" I like them a lot! I am glad you are back on here. Tell Jill to DO HER DEVOTIONS!!!!!!!
Alex: I have already been impressed that you have been doing your devos the last few days, if you beat your sister I will fall out my chair!! (in a good way)
Ryan: At first I did not realize that you misspelled the end on purpose... I was like!! HELLO!!! :) What is up with the fact that the day you come on here and leave Rachel a comment she doesnt come on herself?!?! Unbelievable :)

Phil: wow... I watched like 5 minutes of that video and It is absolutely horrible!! Dont watch it! It is a waste of YOUR PRECIOUS TIME!! By the way I cannot fit two fingers in your indentations!

John 5:31-39
31 “If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true.
32 There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true.
33 You have sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth.
34 Yet I do not receive testimony from man, but I say these things that you may be saved.
35 He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light.
36 But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.
37 And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.
38 But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe.
39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.
40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

This passage is pretty neat, because it Shows Christ trying to explain to some people who He really is: Christ explains that there are two great ways that He can prove who He is. First of all, He says, that He does not expect us to believe it just beause He says it... Jesus gives us proof that He is the messiah, God in the flesh.

Proof #1: The testimonty of John. John was the burning and shining lamp that told people about the true light to come. We also can be like John and understnad that we are one of the few ways to show people that Jesus is God. We also should strive to be a shining and burning lamb for Christ.

Proof #2: The works that Jesus Christ did. This is another reason why we read the word of God, because His works prove who He is, and His works are described in His word. Another way this applies to us: God does many wonderful works in our life!!! We should testify of the great things that God has done in our life to show people who God is. Hopefully then they will believe in Christ and accept Him as their savior!!!
